I noticed something wrong in the Brabham menu...
I'm gonna fix this in the next version (by the way: my next targets are gloves and suits)... Or you can simply download this jpg and put it in the 08_brabham folder...Here's the right Warwick preview image...

My pc isn't exactly top notch... and I'm experiencing some cpu warnings at the start of the races (99% !!!!).
So I edited a lighter version of this skin pack.
Basically I've put the heavier .dds files through a compression filter. The loss of quality is not that big, the frame rate and the loading time is definitely
faster. The cpu occupancy issue is still there somehow, but not as worrying as before: now I have a 95% of it but 28 cars on the grid where the tracks allow that. Maybe my 3rd generation i7 is the problem....

Has anyone experienced something similar?
Would you be interested in the release of a compressed version of this skin pack???

Any answer is welcome.

By the way,

yesssss compressed files for me is very good!
Hi! It's been a while... Thanks for your reply kikko! I was about to release the lighter version but, after a period of various trials, I've come to the conclusion that the CPU warning issue is not related the weight of the files. I've managed to resolve the issue and to get even more performance out of my pc... (Windows 8.1 64bit, i7 3770, 16gb RAM, mobo Asus Sabertooth z77, Radeon 7850 2gb, SSD Corsair Neutron GTX) Now AC runs in full details at 60fps!!! Not too bad for a pc like mine!!!

Here's what I did:

-I reduced the visual effects in Windows to the minimum through the Advanced system options

- I installed the trial version of Security Task Manager to monitor and then disable the hungriest services and applications (a great boost has come from uninstalling some windows app such as mail, contacts, news, weather...)

-I made a lot of tweaks through the msconfig command (number of cpu from one to 8 - several boot services disabled )

And that's it! It works just fine for me now... However, in the next version, only the car skins will be without compression to grant the best visual quality... all the other files will be compressed in a balanced way between quality and performance.

I'm quite busy right now but hopefully I'll be able to upload something in the near future!!

Version 3.0 wip

liveries: 100%

faces: 10% (just Prost, Rosberg and... myself!!! :-D)

suits, gloves: 0%

pit crew: 0%

I'm also working on a 1986 Career mode... It's 90% ready... just need time to edit the preview images of the circuits!!!

See you soon!!!
