FM8 Forza Motorsport 2023

Forza Motorsport 8 (Turn 10 Studios)
"We do have another track planned for December that we will show you soon, and as previously revealed, our most accurate Nordschleife ever will be released in Spring 2024.

Every new track we add to Forza Motorsport will include fully dynamic 24-hour time-of-day with weather and track evolution.

Have any of the testers and reviewers so far used a Simucube 2 wheel base or know if it will work on PC. The prior Forza games did not have Simucube support becasue of the drivers and imputs they use, which is too bad as SimuCube arguably has the best force feedback on the market. The segments I have seen have been XBOX related but it seems like there have been comments that Motorsport will have move options for input devices. I'll be in day one if I can finally use my setup with Forza again. Thanks.

It's like Microsoft is still half stepping when it comes to supporting PC gaming. I know, its too early to come to this conclusion, but this is essentially Turn 10's third go-round at making a Forza Motorsport title on PC, one would think they'd know more about what the popular wheel brands are. Simucube, Moza, VRS and Asetek weren't mentioned on the PC list. But they listed a bunch of Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheelbases from yesteryear... Its odd, IMO.

Moza is on the list.

Anybody know how big a file it will be yet? I going to see if I can get my Simucube working on it and am going to need to clear some SSD space first.

From Forza.net under the Motorsport tab, from the September 18th article titled
"Forza Motorsport Preloads and Achievements Reveal"
Here are the download sizes for Forza Motorsport on PC and console:

  • Xbox Series X: 133 GB
  • Xbox Series S: 100 GB
  • Windows 10 and 11 PC (Microsoft Store): 119 GB
  • Steam: 118 GB* Installed file size; download size is approximately 108 GB
To celebrate this milestone, we’re excited to reveal the full list of Forza Motorsport achievements you can unlock on Xbox and Steam starting October 5, as well as the loyalty rewards that will be gifted to everyone who has played a previous Forza Motorsport or Forza Horizon game: the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Forza Edition and the Faithful Fan Driver Suit. Forza Motorsport players also receive the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray in Forza Horizon 5.

Wednesday is going to be a little longer than the typical Wednesday. LOL

Damn, so having pre-ordered with Steam in the UK we have to wait an additional 4 hours. Will it have to be decompressed when downloaded as well? Yet with the MS store, it can be preloaded?

I still get nightmares when trying to download a FM title a few years back from the MS store, maybe things have improved with it, but kind of unsure now what to do or to cancel the Steam order, mmmmm.

Yeah, that sucks about Steam using EDT. It's like no one believes in the international date timeline anymore.

I am sticking with Steam though. Just because I can at least find the game files on my PC if needed. To do the same with Microsoft's store, I have to extinguish some flaming hoops.

Shows all the menu settings / PC version
Looking in the upper right portion of the screen showed me that the menus are unplayable at those frame rates. It's only in the mid 30's and it's not locked to the minimum requirements for PC gaming, of 144 FPS. This is a poor showing from Microsoft, and I fully expect a refund; even though I am going to keep the title, and whine about the menus frame rates from now until the heat death of the Universe, and all the other places too. :p

(This is a joke people. We all know that the PC FPS requirement is 240 FPS. And don't mind me. I've been reading too many complaints about the multiplayer FPS issue.)

Got my new PC built and will try it out today or tomorrow, have been following other peoples interest with it, (not much here as usual for a Forza title).

Will be interesting to see if/how the framerates improve as on max settings it seems even a high-end intel with 4090 is hitting around 100fps but still under 120 fps from videos I watched.

Finally I also seen the first video with 32:9
