Hm. I downloaded the 28 GB of demo - started it out. Terrible UI.
Graphics are mind boggling. I started a race - driving the Ford. Very quickly I got to the point where It it felt pointless. And still, I just had to drive a little more. And then I discovered that two hours had passed. And all that time, I just raved around, getting as close to the other cars as I could to earn those "Very close call" points. and other strange ways of gathering points.
Then I kind of woke up, and thought "what the heck am I doing?" Utterly pointless time spent in a grahpics-orgasm.
So I quietly exited the demo - and freed my harddrive of the GB´s
End of story

It runs quite nicely on a One X (after the first crash on launch:whistling:), looks pretty, recognises all my Thrustmaster controls, has my real life car and is set in the UK.

But, ACC for £25ish or FH4 for £80.....
I'll wait for FH4 to be on sale.

Ha-ha, that was me. :)

Game crashed on the second race but the optimisation is much better than forza horzion 3 fps wise.
Im guessing we'll have to wait 3+ months for the game to run good like with the last 2 forza's on pc

Downloaded the demo, doesn't really grab me, but I didn't really expect it too. I was playing on the xbox controller but I don't really see the point in anything better, I got a Ford escort RS cosworth, and was able to beat La Ferrari's and any other supercar that I was up against.

I could probably increase the difficulty but that kind of thing annoys me so much, a 30 year old Ford is not faster than a modern hypercar, it's just ego stroking nonsense, every race ends with a pat on the head and a lollypop, the whole thing seems utterly pointless.

yeah gonna have to give fh4 a miss for at least a few months to be honest. mostly because the last 2 forza games had bad launches and because the game is set in england, no hate :)

Update for me, looks like it’s the latest 473 firmware that’s causing it, tried driver 292 with 316 firmware and it now has FFB in PC mode like it used too.

Edit, nope not the firmware causing it, must be driver 3.12 and up. Driver 3.11 and firmware 473 working ok.

This game is kind of cool, cars are somewhat drivable with wheel but....I`m not a bug complain-er but this game...invisable AI, invisible car stoping future(dont konw how to call it), no roads for 40% of gameplay(you are flying), crashes every secound I lunch....it`s not a demo, it`s a pre alfa early stages 2 years before beta....i would really want to like but can`t do for now.

Last time i played Forza Horizon was when i had a bad leg injury
Next time will be as well (hopefully not)
When you have a wheel, pedals and/or VR, those games feel utterly pointless. Even though i loved it back before i started driving with a wheel

Ha! story of my life whit the wheel, bought my ts500, finished Forza 7, instaled AC and RF2 and now i can`t play Forza...I just don`t know how...whic to be honest sucks couse Forza is a great game but ffb numbness makes it imposible for me.

The Horizon 4 I would say works beter but whit the bug-y demo it`s hard to tell 100% if it`s drive-able.

Just been paid and really want Horizon 4 as ive been sucked in by all the hype and raving reviews but is it really that much better than horizon 3? ive only got a normal Xbox One so obviously wont benefit from any of the 4k features graphically although i can play it on higher settings on my pc if i buy from microsoft store. Its just can i justify paying £80 to play it today with all the extras or do i wait until tuesday and buy standard edition?

I went with the the Ultimate, never bought a Forza game before. I think the Ultimate is worth it for the two DLC, so all the extra cars feel like they are free, plus I got to play yesterday evening.
I assume one DLC will be London.

It's almost exactly the same as FH3 with slight visual improvement, big deja vu after few hours of play.
I cancelled my preorder as got bored fairly quickly.
Demo is free, try and decide for yourself.

I bought the ultimate edition, for me it's a massive improvement over FH3 (I got very bored with the demo also) but I'm really enjoying it so far.

The demo is quite a poor representation of the full game IMO, especially the car selection.

so far im loving it. Something to kick back and play with a controller. Runs great on my laptop maxed out (1060 6gb i7 7700hq 16gb ram). way better optimization compared to horizon 3. Graphics are slightly better that horizon 3. But H3 is still a great looking game. I personally feel the cars handle better in 4 as well.
