the only thing im disliking is the blizzards. I like it when you're just cruising around but when it starts all of a sudden during a race it frustrating. You literally cannot see anything while using cockpit view.I have to change the view when it happens to hood view but even that is hard. overall its pretty cool though.

US Football is ok, but the real Football in the rest of the world is better :)
What ? You're from usa and you love soccer more than regular... "football" ?
Who would thought... :cautious:
Say, you sure you're not from ...Mexico ?

I owned FH3 for a short time before refunding through PAYPAL because I was accidentally charged twice. I could not figure out how to do a laps race against the AI, but only free drive, which to me is boring. I like to race. There may be a way, I just did not try long enough to figure it out, nor the cars or car classes to race. I also never figured out whether there was a replay camera and how to operate it. If someone could enlighten me, I am tempted to purchase again. Lastly if I remember correctly, I was able to map my Logitech wheel, but I could not use a keyboard to map any functions like changing views, etc.

I'm an import from Eastern Europe, Trump will charge import tax on me :)
I also like hockey. Football/baseball is slower because of defense/offense turns... I don't like that, imagine if they did that in auto racing haha

I use my PC mainly for iRacing, so I have it setup with a Fanatec CSW v2 base, BMW GT wheel, and ECCI pedals connected directly to the PC.

I would like to have a more casual driving game to play once in a while and FH3 sounds like a good one. But I am NOT going to buy another wheel and pedal setup for one game, plus the big hassle of swapping the wheel and pedals on my racing cockpit for that one game.

I have checked around the web, but I can't find anything recent from MS/Turn 10 about added wheel and pedal support.

Does anyone here know if there are any plans to implement full support so any wheel and pedal connected to your PC will work for this game?

I will not even think about getting it if I can't use the wheel and pedals I already have that work for every other PC racing/driving game.

Hi!

I'm thinking about getting FH3 for the sake of having fun. It's got a nice discount as well, but my problem is the download size. I have pretty shitty internet plan for downloads, no better is availible in my area. My download speed is around 1MB/s, for 9GBs a day, then it's lowered to 250kB/s. Problem is there are four people in the household using the internet, my parents use it for work as well so I can't screw it up for them for a week.

Furthermore I have no experience with longer Windows Store downloads. If FH3 were on Steam I could download it at the university, where internet is crazy fast, then make a backup and install on my desktop. Is there anything remotely similar on Windows Store?

Anyways, thanks for any replies. If there is no solution, no problem, just asking.

Forza Horizon 3 Radical RXC.jpg

Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games have released their first DLC instalment of 2017 for Forza Horizon 3, bringing the Rockstar Car Pack and with it seven new vehicles to the game.

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention the following information:
PC USERS DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!

PC users will get a dev.build due to a mistake. This means that you will not able to start the game, and when Playground Games puts out the correct update - you will have to re-download the whole game if you update it now.
Source: Official Forum

As is the usual form for a Forza Horizon release, the Rockstar Car Pack DLC is an interesting mix of the new, the old and the unusual as Turn 10 look to further flesh out the sizable list of cars found in the title. The latest DLC features the unique all electric BMW i8 as a particular highlight, as well as the useful all terrain F-150 Trophy Truck that is ideal for the often harsh terrain found in the large scale Australian map.

You can watch the introductory trailer and read up on each car contained in the new DLC below.

Rockstar Car Pack DLC Content
  • 2015 BMW i8
  • 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar
  • 2015 Radical RXC Turbo
  • 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO
  • 1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31)
  • 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck
  • 2016 Bentley Bentayga

From the official release notes -
Forza Horizon 3 Bentley Bentayga.jpg

Bentley Bentayga
In an age dominated by SUVs, the luxurious and powerful Bentayga is the crown prince of them all. Named for a soaring peak in the Canary Islands that commands a magnificent view, the view from behind the wheel of this dazzling modern-day chariot is no less stupendous. Considering many who purchase a Bentayga will be driven in them rather than experience its wealth of both power and control, the chance to drive it in Forza is only that much more treasured.

Forza Horizon 3 BMW i8.jpg

2015 BMW I8

Whether you have been looking forward to the BMW i8 for its hybrid efficiency or its stout performance, both are here at your fingertips. The innovative i8 brings an electrically-powered front-drive system together with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine powering the rear wheels. The two systems merge seamlessly for a driving experience like none other. The i8’s full carbon fiber body helps keep its weight down and makes for a rigid structure that contributes to its nimble handling. Too often, car manufacturers come out with a cool concept then take out much of the “cool” before production. The i8 is the exception and is exceptional.

Forza Horizon 3 F-150 Trophy Truck.jpg

2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck
There are few more difficult accomplishments than winning the Baja 1000. The #11 piloted by off-road legend Rob MacCachren, along with Andy McMillin and Jason Voss, did just that. This is the toughest class, the Trophy Truck class, built from a budget nearly as immense as the talent that drove it to victory. Winning by a margin of almost 30 minutes, the team and truck showed they had what it takes in the most punishing terrain and among top-notch competition. Take this 850hp beast, with suspension enough to swallow gullies and boulders, and let ‘er rip.

Forza Horizon 3 Ford Falcon.jpg

1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO
Nowhere else on Earth will you find an appreciation for four-door performance sedans like that found in Australia, and nowhere else will you find the kind of performance that is imbued in the Ford Falcon XA GT-HO. There was only one production model ever completely built. When news of these and other 160 mph “super cars” hit the media, the uproar over public safety was simply too much, and the government stepped in and stopped production. The car would never see homologation or its destiny of dominating Bathurst. You can drive it here in Forza though, and that should be more than enough to validate the following it created.

Forza Horizon 3 Radical RXC.jpg

2015 Radical RXC Turbo
This is more than a track toy – a race-ready monster that, at top speed, generates nearly as much downforce (2,000 pounds) as it weighs. So yes, it will stick to the track, or any surface for that matter. Underneath the chassis, perfectly placed for balance, is the potent powerhouse of the Ford 3.5-liter Ecoboost, that can launch the RXC from 0-60 in less than three seconds and attain a top speed of around 175 mph. That may seem impressive, but what is really astounding is the way this car grips. You want to be a hero? The RXC is your secret weapon.

Forza Horizon 3 Skyline.jpg

1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31)
When Nissan wanted to race in Group A in 1987, 500 ‘Evolution’ models had to be produced to maintain Nissan’s ability to race. The manufacturer went on to produce more than 800 as the car’s popularity among enthusiasts was nearly as successful as its performance in Japanese and Australian touring car championships. This last of the R31 Skyline performance models contributed much to what would become the R32 GT-R. Under the hood is the RB20, referred to as the “red top,” for its red valve cover. A bigger turbo and a lightened flywheel gives the GTS-R its own sound. A unique Group A front and rear spoilers set off the timeless shape.

Forza Horizon 3 Volvo V60 Polestat.jpg

2015 Volvo V60 Polestar
Polestar is Volvo’s racing division and has been making an impact in the V8 Supercars series amidst the long-lived Holden and Ford rivalry. Race-bred technology makes its way into street-proven performance with superior handling and braking. Volvo only produced 80 V60 Polestar wagons, each with 345 horsepower to tote around your family and packages. So, pack up the kids and the family dog, then hit the road knowing few can keep your pace should you choose to stretch the Polestar’s legs.

Forza Horizon 3 is available for Windows 10 and Xbox One now. The Rockstar Car Pack DLC is available to purchase now.

PC USERS DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!

PC users will get a dev.build due to a mistake. This means that you will not able to start the game, and when Playground Games puts out the correct update - you will have to re-download the whole game if you update it now.

Update seems to have been removed from the Store atm. (23:00 GMT+1). Players with game version that ends with 35.2 is fine, anyone with 37.2 should delete the game and download it again.
If you created a new save game for the 37.2 that will be corrupted and not work when the update is released as it should. If you have 37.2, but did not create a new save game. There will be no issues, but you will still have to delete the game, and download it again.

I didn't manage to avoid the seemingly automatic update. All I did was press play on the game, and all of a sudden, I could not log in to my profile.

man forza really looks great on screenshots, and also while playing
cars don't really convince me to buy the pack though, pretty much only car I'd be interested in would be the Volvo

also, I find it bit disapointing that Froza has a lot of cars , but properly nice visual customization is only available to few cars :(

I would rather they spend time on doing more customization for all cars, then giving us all those various cars that not many people play with all that much , like the Reliant Robin, or the old US/Australian cars ..etc)

All these years I thought they didn't have the BMW i8 in Forza because their simulation doesn't allow different torque/power control for front and rear axle and now it's just out. Should have known that "we need to get it right" wasn't the reason to hold it off.
The Porsche 918 in FH2 and FM6 is constant torque-split AWD and the GT-R LM Nismo in FM6 is just FWD, so what is the BMW i8 now?

FH3 Porsche.jpg

In one of the most impressive examples of a studio dropping the ball seen in recent years, Playground Games very recently mistakenly pushed an unrestricted developer build of their Forza Horizon 3 game to unsuspecting players, giving those quick off the mark a sneaky preview of some of the cars scheduled to be added to the game in the coming months.

In a serious case of sloppy testing, the mega 53 GB update accidently released as part of the Rockstar Energy Car Pack DLC gave players an interesting look at some potential new content yet to be revealed by the studio. The accidently deployed unencrypted developer version of the game allowed players to browse through the open file structure and take in some interesting folders showing details of a number of cars not yet announced by Playground Games, but presumed to be pieces of content scheduled to release in future months. Unfortunately those who downloaded the update also found their game unplayable and since the recent fix will now need to re-download the full title to ensure the game will work. PC players who have the FH3 version ending with .37.2 should immediately uninstall that version of the game, then re-install. The correct playable version should end in .35.2.

NOTE: PC players who completed the download of .37.2 and then started a new game save will have a corrupted saved game. Avoid creating a new saved game on .37.2, and only play on .35.2 to avoid this issue. As long as you have an existing save and have not created a new one on .37.2, your saved game will work correctly once the update is available.

As a reminder, you can check your version number on the launch screen where you sign in.

In all a total of 54 new cars were discovered as part of the unfortunate update, with some interesting pieces of content immediately standing out from the list. It appears that the days of Porsche exclusivity are well and truly over now, with the 1956 Porsche 356A, 1956 Porsche 550A Spyder, 1970 Porsche 917LH, 1977 Porsche 911 Carrera RS, 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo,1987 Porsche 959, 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo, 1995 Porsche 911 GT2, 2003 Porsche Carrera GT, 2004 Porsche 911 GT3, 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, 2015 Porsche Cayman S, 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo and finally the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Does that list look a little familiar to you too? Maybe a little indication of some cars that might be up for discussion with the Assetto Corsa devs possibly?
