The forums are now updated with the newest version of the software.

Will post a more extensive changelog tomorrow of what has changed but for now a couple of important things.

  • As expected the custom theme I made for the forums that matched our frontpage (which is another software) is broken and needs to be fixed or redone completely (i think the latter is best but takes some days to build from scratch)
  • Chat, Videos and the old downloads are (temporary) disabled, will see how many people still use the old downloads otherwise ill remove it completely now.
  • Nicely styled postbits for our Premium Members are gone, will have to rebuild them from scratch today or tomorrow. At least asap!
  • The downloads system we have been using for the last months is intact and will receive a small upgrade later on to iron out some bugs but all files and thingies are there and working.
  • Comments system from the frontpage might be bugged and needs a fix tomorrow morning.
  • Frontpage theme and layout will be redone from scratch as well and take some time.
For now the biggest visible change you will see are affecting mobile users. No longer do you have to swipe to make stuff visible as our forum is now 100% responsive and will match whatever device you are using.
For all the old tapatalk lovers that were disappointed with our decisions to remove it recently, now you know why and we hope you are happy with this more modern approach of reading forums for mobile users.

I normally don't ask for donations but in this case we have invested quite extensively into new software and your help would be much appreciated. If you can miss a penny please do chip in as every bits and pieces make a difference to pay for our growing bills.

There have been a TON of changes made and ill do my best to highlight them for you at a later time.

Enjoy this awesome new software and if you happen to run into bugs or you need help with functionality that has changed please drop a line below and ill help you out!

Just an observation. On my nexus 7 the floating social network links on the left side interfere with some links. Fine on windows desktop though.

New feature added: http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/

Sidebar widget with Online Racers Now. Games, mods and amount of drivers currently racing on our servers.

Thanks @Stefan Mizzi for being totally awesome!
Awesome feature, but might I suggest a improvement to it? Make each game "collapsable" so that it'll list just game name and number of drivers until you click the name (or the good old triangle or + sign to the left of the name) to expand and show the rest of the info.
Save some space, particularly for when more games are supported.

But great job to those who have been involved in the upgrade! Just post the paypal email addy and i'll throw a lil donation in.

You already helped out a lot by becoming a premium member @Kjell Eilertsen so thanks for that.

Out of principle we are not accepting any further donations from premium members. We think the price we ask for a full year membership is a fair one and if everybody actively using and enjoying the site would consider following your example we would be able to make this place absolutely fantastic.

In the past it have always been the same people paying for the fun of others and that is something that didn't feel right. This is a community and the community decides if we can continue or not, but then it should be a joint effort. It can't be that a small group; of people need to fund this entire operation.

Unfortunately the premium group is small but we hope by adding more nice features exclusively to for you guys we can show our appreciation for chipping in.

Bottomline: your gesture is very much appreciated but you have done more than we can ask for

On the topic of the online widget displaying the current racers, I think that will be hard to achieve but ill discuss it with Stefan. Thanks for the feedback

Hello,
Onmy tablet WP 8/8.1operating system from modern IE and old desctop I can't even log in or log out.
I mean when I click (touch) nothing happened, but if I hold on this I can copy link and get in. But when I try reply or create post...same story when I push on empty space nothing happened. This happened with IE, chrome. Firefox work fine but not adapted for touch screen, so if this possible plz fixed this issue.
