rFactor 2 Racing Club event

V8s, DRS, high-wear tyres? This must be the epic 2012 F1 season. This week we will visit a circuit which is certainly capable of holding a Formula 1 race, but never did. The Buriram (Chang) International Circuit is a pretty special, if unknown, circuit with not too many corners, but has some great overtaking spots and really wide straights. Let's see if we deicide to petition Liberty to take F1 here!

SERVER IS UP!
Struggled a lot with very hot left front tyre, ,and could'nt found a setup to get tyres on a good equal temp !!
My tyres temp were in the middle the hottest , bizarre !!!!
How much front and rear wing did you go ?

But still had a lot of fun in these cars, and in the race :))

I ran with higher pressure in the front left, which seemed to reduce temps and thus wear a bit. The front left was still at like 37% after 15 laps, but held laptime pretty well. The setup I sent out to everyone had that. Otherwise, I just didn't push the front left much in the first stint and it seemed to hold up.

I went for +2 on front and rear wings from the default downforce of these cars.

I had great fun in that race chasing @rockracer and @Chark. Time loss in this pitlane wasn't too bad, so I ditched the Mediums pretty quickly because I'd already been able to take the Super-Softs almost half race distance, so decided on an aggressive two-stopper. I came out behind Charles and followed him as we chased Dan down and then passed him. Then it was close fight to the end. I was much quicker in Turns 4-11, closing up a second comfortably. However, he was faster in turns 12 and 1, meaning I couldn't get close down the two overtaking straights. A last-lap lunge into the final corner was never going to work, so had to settle for second behind a deserving Charles victory.

Yeah , top 3 gained more than 2" per lap at the 3rd part of the race.
Supersoft-medium-supersoft was indeed the better strategy then mine :supersoft-medium .
Also couldn't go your pace in the corners ,because of setting my front and rear wing too flat !
And , I didn't gain enough time on the straights with that flat wing settings.
But fun race :)

You lost quite a bit of time after your stop by coming out in traffic. I stayed out an extra lap before my stop because I saw you stuck with Charles and Joe on the timing screen. I pumped in a couple of fast laps and came out in front after my stop and was then able to do fast laps in clean air.

One-stopping was fastest, as Charles' win was a 1-stopper, but yes it was close either way.

But yeah it was good fun. I'll have to use this track again for something else, it was great for racing.
