Sorry guys. I had to drop out early in race 1. Normally I'd stick it out regardless of how I'm getting on, but a stupidly early morning, 5 hours driving and getting home just before practice meant I couldn't see straight tonight. Pity, because I think these Formula Fords are great fun.

Hi Scott. I'm not sure what happened about the second race. Hope I didn't muck anything up. I'm new to AMS2 and very new to online racing with AMS2. I sat in the pits after the 1st race waiting for something to happen but everyone disappeared and I was sitting in the pits like a spare part !!!. Saw the message to leave server, did so and then couldn't get back on. So see all you guys soon. Thanks

Apologies for the incident in the first race. Was trying to work out what the hell was wrong with my fuel and forgot to brake in time.

Went back and looked at the footage and I definitely put 9L in and had 9L on the grid. Said 9L lasted me 1 whole lap.

Think I'm done with this game for the time being though. Love how it drives but theres way too many issues in MP for me to want to stick with it much longer.

Hey Paul, you really need to be on Discord as we were discussing resetting the server as ppl were having issues. Next week, there will be two servers - one for each race to hopefully sort the MP issues.

OK. Will try Discord. I'm on it, but don't really know how to use it to speak to each other. I have a headset I can use which has a mic etc. I'm just a numpty so will need to have a play. I will of course ask for advice if needed and do some googling etc. I do use crew chief and it works in all my other games but not AMS2, so as you can see I'm still setting everything up. But it's all fun. Now I'm retired, anything is better than going to work.

I have a button mapped on my wheel for Push-to-talk, but just being on discord without a mic should be fine if it's a bit of faff to setup as we can then see you are in the voice chat. To be honest, normally it's not really necessary, but AMS2 has a few MP quirks (to put it mildly), so we are relying a bit more on it recently

For Crewchief to be working in AMS2 you need to give access in one of the menus of the game. If you Google it, it is fairly simple. Just one setting enabling communication with CrewChief.

The MP glitches in this game are getting a bit tiresome. It would be more tolerable if you could at least allow people to join in qualy/race. Such a shame as this combo was really great and gave some fun close racing. Fortunately, I still got two good races in, but I feel for the ones that got affected.

Thanks for organising @Redvaliant . I must not have raced on this circuit since moving to PC as I was totally blown away by the elevation changes in VR

Yeah, the persistent disconnects are the worst thing of MP. But also the lottery of setups and pitstops working/not working is tiresome. I'd advise, as I always do, to save and load your race setup / pitstop plan before the end of qualification. Hopefully, with two servers running next week there are no issues for anyone.

Out of curiosity, would AC (Not ACC) be a good alternative for this (mostly) VR group? Not sure how the server part is running to be honest.

Ac is well served for races. We, after all, are the AMS2 club. I have pretty much stopped driving every other sim, bar Rf2, since adopting AMS2. Its mix of historic and unusal track/ cars is better than all the rest, even AC, imho.

That's good input Daniel! Thank you. I also enjoy AMS2 very much! And it looks stunning in VR even on my 3060ti
