Welcome to the OT Racing Club.

After last weeks decent show at Le Mans I'll run the same car's on Fat Alfie's masterpiece - Feldbergring. This track should be a good test for both cars.

This will be an hour long race but I'm prepared to switch to 2x25mins if that would be more popular.

Damn,

for someone who has done only moderate downforce cars on towelflat tracks for some time this is downright terryfiing.

I´ll practice some more and than decide if i do the sweep carrion for your (the broom car, driving the red lantern up the mountain).

Any setup hints how to get the Ferrari to stop cosplaying as a Lamborghini ( tractor which dips his wheels into the green all the time:sick:)

I'm just back from holiday and have never driven either of these but will give the Ford a go.
Any tips on set up etc will be highly appreciated. ;)

Is it me or is the Ferrari all over the place?

I just can't get the front to stick.

(Setup Fairy, please H E L P )

I like this car a lot Carsten, I should not like it as it understeers and oversteers like crazy and will not stop.
But and this is a big but, it does it consistently, so it is easy after a couple of laps to adjust.
The only thing I do from what Allan has already said is set 95% brakes, for me the sweet spot.
Once you come to terms with its short comings by modern day standard it is easy to get pace from it.
It seems ridiculously easy to me to drive compared to our latest F3 cars.
So if you can deal with an overpowered erratic responding car that will wait laps and laps before it bits and bits hard, this should be a breeze for you.

So Carsten;
how´s your practice progressing??

Oh, just like this:

It´s not that i don´t like the car, it´s actually pretty great and I love the power twerking of its georgious butt.
It´s the front that drives me insane, always understeery and just kicking the (grip) bucket when you need it the most. You have to whatch that front wheels like a very young dog on a very expensive carpet.

I´d like to concentrate on FatAlfies challenging track instead of keeping my car from just sliding out under me.

So i´m pissed for now and will try again later.

(One hour practice and not one (1) valid lap in, but 22 offraod excursions:sick:)

I quite like this! it has taken a while to even start to learn the circuit but the GT40 is quite good fun to roar around in.

Not tried the Ferrari yet but will give that a spin and let you know if I feel the same way....

Sorry for going back to basics but I'd suggest you actually start by easing yourself in and then build up speed. With no valid laps it seems to me you are trying to go flat out straight away before you've got a feeling for the car.

At least your Ferrari has brakes. Ford has understeer problems and no brakes. Changed the engine sound to the Bazza Mk3 sound and starting to like it now. I cant get close to your times but it is stable enough for me to drive now

I´ve given it my best effort, but several hours of practice, setup tipps and a lot of swearing in my headphones
( Jim can be a dick sometimes:speechless:) did not result in a viable solution for tonight.

So regrettably i´ll have to chicken out and take your jibes at me for doing so.

( I like the car and love the track but can´t the three of us to work together.
When Ifinally learned to nurse the car through the high speed sections it started to kill me on the cobblestones leaving Oberreichenberg.
One second we were going straight in the middle of the track, the next we´re helicoptering into the fences.
Going once, three laps later going twice, then I shot the car because it was danger to society.)
