Should the SRF really have steering this sensitive?
To answer my own question, I finally found a good onboard of a Gen2 at Laguna Seca, and it actually seems to be that sensitive in real life, although that car look way more stable.

I also have some issues downshifting into 2nd. The car locks it's rears more or less regardless of blipping, but it feels like it locks them well after I fully released the clutch, as if the clutch would engage too late. Maybe it's just a timing issue or I'm too high in the revs, I'll need to drive it a bit more and look at the rear suspension setup. I also only know how the iRacing car drives on TM6, so that's no real comparison imo.

Hopefully the rest of the car can be sorted out some day, like @Kyuubeey said.

Now, just hypothetically, if someone were to post a bunch of high quality, clear pictures of the suspension and link articles with data on the car...

*wink wink*

I would still like to remind everyone that this is, indeed, just a Skip Barber with some minor mods to wheelbase, track, CoG, engine and aero. Perhaps some others I missed. Tires are almost unchanged when I looked....

Yeah, you said this yesterday, in this very thread, on the same page. Why repeat the same message again? :O_o:

It has a lot of engine braking so you'd need to blip up to like 70% throttle to avoid it decelerating even more.

Which I find weird because the Gen2 uses a 1.9 liter 4cyl Ford Escort engine. It just seems counterintuitive, which doesn't make it wrong, of course. Practice makes perfect :)

There's no shame in not knowing and there's no shame in trying; but there's also no shame in asking others who might know better before you start making radical assumptions. :p

Picked this mod up the other day, and installed it this evening. I don't post or rate much (as you can see), but the work done on this mod is warrants me taking the time to do so.

If you like the Spec, and AC original, this is the mod for you. Modders did a super job, The driving experience is great, quality is top notch, and it comes with multiple skins from the get-go.

Everything is thought out well, and overall is a great mod. I read that not everyone agrees, but in my humble opinion, I appreciate your hard work making a mod that works well, for us to choose to enjoy. Those that have a complaint, are justified in doing so, i just don't agree. That is the beauty of opinions.

THANK YOU Devs!! Your hard work is much appreciated.
-> Great mod -<

Great car, yes a little sensible at the limit, and extremely sensitive on going from 3rd to second. So just don't go down to 2nd . Stay in 3rd and just use the momentum to carry thru to the exit.
One thing I did find was going thru the grass(OK I know its not a lawn mower) you can see the grass thru the bottom of the car. Probably want to fix this, or yes I know don't go thru the grass.
A blast trying to race against the AI

Thank you for your kind words mate! indeed, we do the best we can, and off course there's a lot still to learn.
And thanks for the good vibes.
Just a general comment, and I don't want to aim to any person directly but in general. I know guys there's a lot of people here who are masters and have huge knowledge about 3d, physics, texturing, driving, file management, animations and so that are above my beginner knowledge... and It's amazing to count on this variety in the community cause it helps to improve and learn. But guys, remember the most important thing here: the whole point of this is to enjoy. Enjoy our love for sim racing, having a good time with our wheels from our homes, solo, multiplayer or organized championships, it doesn't matter, even if we like or don't a car, there's a lot of variety for all tastes.
So, don't engage into personal fights, or discussions that at the end of the day will not help but to stress your life about something that should bring you joy and happiness, we are all on the same side. We will try to fix the mod as much as we can but, this is not a job, is a hobby. Yes the car basis is the skippy from kyuubeey, and we didn't had an expert on physics but guess what... ¡now we do!, that's the beauty part of this, and I can't wait to see what is he going to get. Also I can't wait to see the skins people will create for this and I can't wait to race against you all online whatever physics version it is.
Peace and love people! see you on track!

well, you can always say: placeholder physics, placeholder sounds, or whatever, makes no sense to try hiding stuff that cannot be hidden. Releasing a 1.0 version of something doesn't mean it's fully done.
In Daniel's defense, I don't think he was fully aware of what was being done to the physics. I don't think there was an intention to hide anything or release unfinished.

Auto shift has some issues, getting stuck in 2nd gear. Flame is going into the ground. Hopefully the physics will mature a bit. A lot of good technical data out there for the car... Still though this is an awesome car! Currently trying to finish a skin for it.
