Juventus have played in black and white striped shirts, with white shorts, sometimes black shorts since 1903. Originally, they played in pink shirts with a black tie, which only occurred due to the wrong shirts being sent to them, the father of one of the players made the earliest shirts, but continual washing faded the colour so much that in 1903 the club sought to replace them.[4] Juventus asked one of their team members, Englishman John Savage, if he had any contacts in England who could supply new shirts in a colour that would better withstand the elements. They just got new owners in, hopefully they can move forward from the lower tiers of English football to the top in the Premier where they deserve to be, sickens me seeing likes of Hull etc there when teams like County, Forest who have a strong history are stuck in lower divisions, no offense and yes am bitter on that one.

The agent of Napoli striker Ezequiel Lavezzi maintains that Liverpool have lodged a bid for the Argentina international.
Alejandro Mazzoni, the 24-year-old's representative, claimed last week that the Reds had approached the Serie A outfit with an offer believed to be in the region of £12million.
But Anfield boss Rafa Benitez and Napoli general director Pierpaolo Marino have denied any transfer activity regarding Lavezzi, who is also rumoured to be a target of new Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Mazzoni, though, is adamant that there has been contact, saying: "Pierpaolo Marino continues to lie.
"I reiterate that a Fifa agent presented Napoli with an offer from Liverpool for Lavezzi.
"This was a formal procedure as the player cannot be contacted directly (by the interested club) because he is under contract with Napoli."
Lavezzi, who scored seven league goals last season, joined Napoli in the summer of 2007 and is contracted until June 2012.

From what iv heard he looks a good player and very quick. Just I dont wantto pay over the odds when we need atricky flairy winger and a rightback. I really want glen johnson.

Glen Johnson would be good, but he can be a bit too inconsistent at times. Would have loved Shaun Wright-Philips, but that is probably out of the question
