AC FC1 2009 Williams FW31 0.9b @Monza GP Sun 10th May 2015

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Did the supersofts wear this extremely for everyone else as well?
I'm pretty sure they do wear extremely fast for everyone, especially on this car. Maybe adjusting the pressures or some alignements tweaks might make them last a bit longer, but from what I've heard, the supersoft tyres use a compound especially made for a qualifying run. So yeah, maybe 5 laps at most.

Also, anyone know why the game would freeze so much? I only have the Ferito Blue Flag app installed, nothing else in terms of apps.Sorry, I've not driven AC many times so I apologise if this is a n00b question.
I had plenty of problems with AC on the technical side, and indeed, I had a few game crashes recently. From what I've read (and my own experience), it might be an "overlay" problem. Maybe try deactivating the Steam overleay in AC. If you're using an nVidia graphic card, try and install GeFroce Experience on your computer. That's what I did and for some reason I hadn't had many crashes since.

Sorry, I've not driven AC many times so I apologise if this is a n00b question.

You don't have to apologize, I think that a community is also made to help each other, regardless if it's a simple or advanced question! :)

This is a fun mod, best car I've driven in Assetto Corsa so far.
In my rush to get back after my PC froze, I loaded my setup, adjusted the fuel for race and forgot to change tires. Needless to say, my rear supersofts were so worn by lap 4 that I kept losing the rear under braking - that's why I skipped the chicane before the Lesmo's a few times, nothing deliberate, just corrected the car in that direction.

Will definitely do this again if I can fix it.
Yeah the supersofts only lasted that long for me as well. Even the mediums were getting quite worn halfway in.
My game is also freezing for a second every now and then, started happening recently, must be the numerous apps I'm running, need to cut them down I think lol.

Hehe.

For interest's sake, is there any apps that can:
- Show gaps to the guys in front? There used to be like a ribbon at the bottom that showed placings and intervals of the guys a few positions behind or ahead of you, but Kunos seem to have removed that.
- Show tire wear and temps? Really necessary, I found. Like GID in rFactor.
- Show fuel in litres? That little graph at the bottom means nothing, I need numbers.

Thanks for any help.

There we go. :) These apps should be pretty light on memory and graphic usage, they shouldn't cause any framerate problems. I'm using them currently, they might not be the best, that's also a personnal matter of tastes in the end. But I'm sure they're worth a try! :geek:

- Show gaps to the guys in front?
To see gaps, you can use the ferito-liveCarTracker app. The gaps are often very erratic (maybe a game issue, not necesarily the app's fault), but it gives you a general idea. Especially useful because it displays the other drivers' name in red or blue, depending if they are a lap ahead of behind you. Although the leaderboard can still be activated with the F9 key if I'm not mistaken.

- Show tire wear and temps?
You can use the Tyre Temp app. With colors, pressure, and all that good stuff!

- Show fuel in litres?
You can use the Fuel Usage app, that calculate the lap consumption too, very useful.

I was just about to link you to Tyre Temp and Ferrito, which Charles has beat me to!
Haven't seen that fuel app you linked Charles, awesome, will be grabbing that! Any suggestions for any other apps you use normally appreciated!!
I'm using a version of Tyre Temp from here, not sure how they differ?
Tyre Temp -

I'd also recommend these apps if you haven't seen or used them already:
Substanding - Provides global, class and same car standings and positions
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/substanding.4998/
InRaceChat - Also highly recommend this chat app, the best of all that I've tried (vs. Xychat etc.)
http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/in-race-chat-v0-1-2015-01-25.20034/
Helicorsa - Radar app. You also cannot skip out Helicorsa if you haven't got it already, if you're not on triple-screens.
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/helicorsa.5199/
FFBClip - Great tool for setting up correct FFB settings and avoid clipping

They're probably the same! Actually I grabbed the first link I found because I didn't find the actual one I use. Maybe it's just a bug correction where the white pin would stay on the app.

Thanks for this one, I think I downloaded it when it only displayed the gap in meters (not very useful to me), I'll give it a try.

Probably the best app ever made for this game (and in sims in general), it's a must have in my opinion. It helps a lot with understanding the surroundings and avoinding contact. In the end, cleaner racing, so that's great!

The Pedals app (stock app in game) also shows a red slider with the FFB. Much less precise than this one of course.

Thanks @brooptss! I think the ones I mentionned are the essential ones I use. I will maybe create a thread one day so we can all share our standard app layout in AC. Otherwise, @Si might scold us if we continue debating apps in the race thread! :p

Agreed, I don't know how I ever managed without it! That said, it would be amazing if someone were to mod virtual side mirrors (like in GSCE). I'm hoping this will come in the future.

By the way, @brooptss and @Chark, have you guys seen this app - PDash?

http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/pdash-1-1-update.23059/

It seems to do all 3 things I want, and more, so if you've tried it, I'd like your opinions. Thanks. :)

Seen it but not tried it yet. Not really a fan of apps with picture backgrounds etc, prefer the clean cut look, but it seems this mod's been improved upon a lot, can use custom skins, so I'll give this a try later.

I like to use "StatsBarPlus" because it shows a lot of useful info in one small app rather than having lots of individual apps running which might reduce performance.

http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/mini-apps-v5-1-statsbar-plus-v6-3.1018/

StatsBarPlus, Ferito and Helicorsa are the three that I use.

Awesome! That looks great, will definitely be trying that out, need to cut down the amount of apps I'm using.

@Ho3n3r , I couldn't say no more than @IRobot and @brooptss, they named all the apps I'm using. :)I might just point a good app to use in practice : Corner performance analysis. It's not really for the speed or time gained (still usefull) but to find the good brake balance. ;)

@Asterix, too bad for your pit stop. I've never given a try to this app : Pitstop settings app, but it might save you from such disaster. I was curious to see If I would have been able to catch you up.

Here is my setup, a little bit too late, sorry .

Thx all for the race, and @Si to put this event.
This mod is so great that before leaving my seat, I tried to unbelt my 6 point harness, wich I have not found, obviously.:D

See you next.
