Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

For the second race of the Fat-Alfie championship 2024 we're moving to Singapore.

The Thomson Road Grand Prix circuit measures 4.865 km long per lap and runs in a clockwise direction. The circuit starts with the "Thomson Mile", a mile-long stretch along Upper Thomson Road. Halfway through this stretch of road, there was "The Hump", a right hand turn that caused drivers to lift off the ground if they sped past this bend.

The Thomson Road Grand Prix circuit had many challenging features, including the treacherous "Circus Hairpin" bends and the "Snakes" section. In particular, the "Murder Mile" feature of this track derived its name from the fact that many racing accidents occurred along this stretch. Similarly, "Devil's Bend" got its name because it was the most dangerous part of the circuit.

As this track has relatively the longest straight of all Fat-Alfie tracks, the Renault is the favorite car here but it depends if the driver is able to keep it out of the fences and can avoid the famous deadly lampposts.

SPECIAL ATTENTION: in this race the Renault Clio 5 Cup 1.3 is introduced in the FWD class as an alternative for the Abarth/Suzuki. You have to install it even if you drive another car otherwise you can't join the event. See the event details where to find the mod. The Renault 5 is only available with the V80 vintage tyres.

Not much to change really, seems okay to me, if it wasn't there is little i can do, i preferer it to the Abarth, more stable but but less turntable on the brakes.

well... after a week of hardly any driving (stitches in my back), I just gave it a shot tonight, just for the fun of it.

No pace in the beginning, slowly progressing, P10 qualy. Race start was chaos and weird. I must have let the clutch slip at the last start, got me a penalty. Took it lap 1 and started the chase. That slowly brought me to p6 for a nice couple of laps, but I still had to pit in the last 5 mins. Thinking about the strategy I didn't notice the lamp post crossing the street, so I took it full power. Stuck, getting back to the road, pitting, pit not working, putting fuel in the menu thingy, rewind, trying again, lost ll the time there, as well as my focus. Crashed once more in the finals laps, but I wanted to see the flag, so kept going.

Shame it had this bug, and a shame the lamp post went for a walk, otherwise...

Congrats to the podiums and thank you Han!

Bit of an odd start but we got there in the end. I got lucky when Han and Allan tangled up ahead, otherwise a steady drive and no lamp posts jumped out in front of me this time. :D

If you want some close racing in a car that is easier to drive than any of these we have tonight, then sign up for tomorrow's F4 race at Silverstone, (we need many more to make it a race:redface:).

I guess I didn't quite understand the start. I thought T1 was the hairpin turn. But it probably wasn't it, it was the bend in the comb, right? It has to be that way, otherwise Allan wouldn't have driven away. I didn't get to that until later, so sorry for the headlights Allan.

All in all a good race with no major incidents apart from the accident that put me in second place. Otherwise it would definitely have been a closer race.

Great event!

Great race for me, I was not in with even a small chance against Fulvio, so let him go, not that I had much say in it. But decided an accident was not beneficial to me.
I did not have the consistency to stay with Hank.
That just left Allan and everyone else. Lucky for me Allan had an off, I struggled to keep it together here and luckily only dropped the odd second or so a lap , unfortunately on a far to frequent basis.
But all’s well that ends well, overall very happy with were I came.

A great race with all these cars so close in laptimes! I totally messed up my own race which went well until I had a race incident with Allan. It was stupid of me to defend as he was clearly faster but in the hairpin I saw a change on the inside but we had contact and I went into the bushes. I came out last and had a nice stint with overtaking some cars. After the pitstop I hit that dreadful lamppost in the left handler before the long loop. After that I totally lost my concentration and had terrible laptimes.

Congrats to the podium and thanks for joining.
I've found some really nice new tracks lately and I will pick one of them for next week.

This was a very weird one.

I actually liked the track during practice but noticed the warping once in a while. Then on to the race, the warping persisted and I quit before touching someone(I hope at least). It was absolutely unraceable.
There was nothing wrong with my internet connection nor with my system performance(nearly 200 FPS on the grid). I also immediate joined a crowded public lobby after quitting and there was super smooth with no warping. Beats me what the problem is/was. Did someone else see me warping?

I had no problems at all (besides my awful driving).

By the way, I've notified Fat-Alfie about the starting position bug.
