The shoe was supposed to go to charity, but RIC chucked it into the crowd.

Not as far as I saw, Dan gave Martin the shoe after he reminded him it was for charity. Dan then threw what looks like his cap into the crowd.

I also think Martin is a great sport to have wanted to do it and for charity too, good on him
