Pissed off by the rain bug i always get, with 4 laps to go, was comftarble on P5, around 20 seconds infront of Roy(P6) and 4 seconds behind Chicane wich was losing time aparently against me...

P.S. you can see my freeze at the end of video

Qualifying:
Some setup changes before the start and no practise meant for an interesting q session which was really all about trying to understand the changes I had made which had I checked the weather would never have been made.

Race:
Not knowing it was going to rain till after qualifying I was annoyed to see wet start, for the first half of the race I was trying to adapt to the conditions with a setup I had no idea about in these conditions. Shaki was easily faster than me and I thought I was going to end up dropping to the back of the field. Some mistakes didn't help and cost me a lot of time, but with the track drying up I started to feel the car coming to life and my confidence began to grow, more mistakes though would slow me down. Finally I was able to match my team mates pace (Shaki) and even began getting runs on him, but it would be the pit wall entrance that would decide the battle as Shaki damaged his front wing. We both went for full wets at our first stops and very shortly afterwards we changed to inters. Shaki began to fall away to the point that at the end of lap 20 I was able to pit for a new set of inters as my original set was never going to make the final 2 laps. Some good battles, but it just goes to show that practise for tracks like this where the weather is 50/50 for dry or wet conditions is very important. A shame the battle Shaki and I was having was to be denied by the pit wall, but these things happen and I almost did the exact same thing on my final stop.

Being in the Tugboat i shall just go 2/1 , 1/11 1/1/1/1 then stick 5th as long as possible in a staircase :) Unfortunately with Estoril being pretty much all straight we're doomed whatever the case :ninja:

Surely you jest dear sir. This track is straight in that it's not a f-ed up designer course, or, God forbid, Singapore, but the straights are short and there are plenty of corners, both right and left. Average speed slower than Brands by a good 12 seconds. Sandbagger....
