Lo guys,

Sorry, I'm not sure I warrant my own thread here but wanted to say bye without fading through the thread base of a single race and without saying it after my last race. It's been a while coming if honest, but after the Race of Champions, I wont be returning to racing in F1 2013. Many people have left because of the games flaws but I'm not, I'm just finding even the 4/5 hours a week racing to be a bit too much at the moment. I'm due to be moving house and whilst I still enjoy the racing, I've been in the position with games before whereby I've left on bad terms, purely because I left too late or played them too much, after I'd stopped enjoying the game. I see it happen too often and want to leave on good terms.

I just want to say thank you for the experience over the last couple of years, Eddy you've well and truly done justice to the league, thanks for organising it! If anyone wants to join a fun, competitive league with good people who race hard but fair, this is the one. Thanks to all who have not just raced wheel to wheel for so long but been friends too. You've all seen the best and worst of my driving as I believe this was my first full league in on-line racing and I've had some great races with you all... but it's time to hang up... my wheel? Bit impractical... I'll just keep it close by for occasional races but I'm done with league races for now. :D

Thanks for the experience, stay in touch. :)

Kind Regards,
Mark.

The lag:confused: I think you actually hit me on the straight on my screen, but it didn't effect me much along with the half spin after so I'm not bothered mate.

That's what was weird because I didn't feel any contact from either car and I'm sure I was much closer to the lapped car than you based on my vid and at the corner it was as if you spun before I even got to the corner and I automatically knew it was lag which is why I waited and it allowed Andrew to pass.

Design
The Bahrain International Circuit held its first F1 race in 2004. F1′s first venue in the Middle East was built on the site of a former camel farm in the desert south of Manama. The circuit cost approximately 56.2 million Bahraini Dinars (US$150 million) to construct. It has six separate tracks, including a test oval and a drag strip.
The circuit posed a unique problem. Positioned in the middle of a desert, there were worries that sand would blow onto the circuit and disrupt the race. However, organizers were able to keep the sand off the track by spraying an adhesive on the sand around the track. The surface of the track is made of Graywacke aggregate, shipped to Bahrain from Bayston Hill quarry in Shropshire, England. The surface material is highly acclaimed by circuit bosses and Formula 1 drivers for the high level of grip it offers. The same aggregate material is used at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The event attracted international attention in 2011 when it was first postponed, then cancelled following the government’s suppression of pro-democracy protests in February. Formula One’s presence in Bahrain continues to attract criticism.
Bahrain’s grand prix track is typical of most modern circuits, compromising a few long straights and slow corners. In 2010 a longer version of the track was used but it proved unpopular and was dropped after a single race.
For the 2014 race floodlights were installed so the main event could be run at night.
Pre Race Questions

  2. Does the Bahrain night race look nicer than Abu Dhabi and Singapore?
  3. What are your thoughts on Domenicali stepping down from Ferrari?
  4. Who will take pole, the race win, and the fastest lap?
  5. Are you racing?
