Qualifying:
Went out on primes and stayed on them, the time wasn't anything to shout home about but I knew I could go much quicker on the options so wasn't to bothered I was thinking more about trying to take advantage of a longer run (if I could maintain the gap to those ahead).

Race:
Took the start carefully and was able to maintain the gap to Game ahead but a mistake cost me and a second mistake was enough to cause me to be to careful. I took the primes as far as I could before saying goodbye to them, I no I could and should have done 3 or 4 more laps on them but to be honest the primes don't work to well for me here and I soon found the benefits of the options as I was able to brake and get on the power where I liked. Sadly the setup was showing its problems and I was having to adapt to the problems I had which cost me more time and I made more mistakes. No mistake was more costly though than when I out braked myself a few laps after Game had pitted, I lost the best part of 12 seconds to him and I wouldn't see him again all race. More mistakes followed but that was due to tyre wear as the options fell off the cliffs with no pre warning other than a very loose rear end.

I can't complain though, my lap time showed I wasn't as far off the pace as I thought and it was clear that with some a few tweaks I would be much more consistent which in turn would hopefully open the door to some great battles. At least I only had 1 wing change this time, but just like the last time I raced here I drove out of the pits in qualifying and got a 5 penalty for driving over the white line (forget how tight the pit exit it here).

Gears: 1st is about 3 or 4 clicks from full left, then they step right one all the way down.

1. The car feels OK but i will get used to it.
2. I was disappointed at Australia as it was one of my preferred tracks but after a few incidents I finished in 10th
3. I think we will see some wet weather.

5. Mercedes certainly seem dominant but I think we could see a few teams coming back in the latter part of the season
