The only thing i hate about hosting is that randomly some people are unable to join when i host..... even with all neccesary ports open :S

Noel automatically took over hosting when i needed to leave the room, but that caused some lag for me (no wonder with the distance to Australia). So if i need to host events in the future i always need backup from another euro guy.

Time Check

Hi Mauricio,

I'm keen to do this. Haven't been able to race in a custom race as yet. However, can I check that time with you? 20:30 GMT is 7am in the morning here in Adelaide. Is that correct?

Might be too late by the time I hear back but worth asking...

Cheers

Sam

As I said earlier, Monza hates me  The race started with me going like a noob torpedo in the first chikane and hitting, I belive it was Noel ?, again sorry for that. It was really hard for me to find the brake points but that should not have happend. Since it was a long race it got a bit better towards the end when the car wasn't as heavy but there was many "off track" visits for me but at least I made it to the finish :)

But anyway, it was fun and looking forward to next race, so Happy New Year to you all !

Yeah that's the one Jan, the last corner was so fast it was deemed unsafe
Now I'm sorry but when did F1 become a safe sport ??? and what is the difference between smacking into a wall at 320 kph in a straight line as opposed to on a corner ? Just because it was the fastest corner in F1 ?

Dunno ? beat's me !!!! Health & Safety mixed with copious amounts of political correctness, that's what happened ! Crazy, change everything by caring (very clever).

I agree, a big part of F1 is that it's on the edge, both in tech and excitment isn't it ?
If you bit by bit remove things that may be a bit dangerous and perhaps a little bit unsafe then you remove the heart of the sport, imho anyway....

That beeing said, I'm not saying I like seeing drivers get hurt or even killed, that's not the point but you can't remove everything that makes it a challenge, can you.

No you can not remove them as a whole or the sport will die (excuse the pun), to be a race driver serious injury and even death are an occupational hazard and I am sure not in the fore front of their mind's or they would be to scared to even get in the car. What next the army have rubber bayonet and cotton bud bullets because they are dangerous, bad analogy I know but makes the point. It would be good to have an F1 2010 track editor so we can at least experience it as it should be.

That being said I think the chicane is probably more dangerous if you have a few spin's on it then the pack slows and you come around the corner before at a fair speed, and BANG into the back of the pack causing more injuries than just one driver, it is a possibility.
