Good race chaps. Unlucky to Derek for running out of jungle juice so close to the end and handing me 3rd

I think I could have got 3rd without any help if it hadnt been for someone making a very bad decision on where to park their red bull for a number of laps. Im coming out the pits, 2 cars bearing down on me from the pit straight, and I notice an orange dot in the run off at turn 2. I cant tell if its coming back on track or what, plus I dont want to hit the guys behind me, so with all that distraction ive already missed the braking point and im heading for the wall, so ditch it into the run off and go to do a turn, (ive done this before so I know you can normally throw it round in one go) but because the red bull is there, it means I gotta do a 3 point turn! Lose 3 places because of that.

But regardless of that, I had an enjoyable race there. After my pits I had some fun behind Rzzzz who was very (very) defensive and ghosting too. Some zig zagging later Simon made a mistake at the bridge and I got past. Just before that, I think both our races would have been over if I hadnt anticiapted he was gonna go way too fast on the inside of me into turn 3 and although I was a nose ahead, I waited to turn in and sure enough he flew deep into the corner.

Caught up Marine and after a few laps he spun the backend exiting the bridge. I had to swerve over the curb to void him and was waiting for the 'illegal overtake' but I was amazed I didnt get one! (has there been a patch I dont know about?)

So anyways, I used a new setup and strategy, and if I can get on the podium on Shaturday then I will be chuffed to bits!

I'm not gonna point the finger at anyone now, but there really need to be some sort of self control at the first corners. Some seem to think that they can force their way through at all costs, this wasn't the worst race I been in but still very sad to see people who don't know that you have to breake earlier when all cars are together after the start.

F1 IS NOT a contact sport....

That said the rest of the race was ok for me, started on primes after a bad qualifying, had trouble for the first part of the race, couldn't find my breaking points properly and had to brake earlier then normal for some odd reason. It got better after a while and 4th is ok, passed Derek on the last lap since he was out of fuel.
Did the whole race on fast setting and no fuel issues

Edit: And no sign of the Force India pitstop bug either

a great race for me...except for turn 2, lap1. i braked insanely early went to far inside to avoid anybody hitting me in the rear and my front wheels touched joempies sidepod as we turned in to turn 2, and he dropped back to near last. joempie left me no room but he obviously didn't know i was there, i was coming from a bit of a peculiar place?
i waited for the whole field to file past and rejoined a few seconds behind joempie. i THOUGHT there was room for bothj of us joempie? sorry m8 for the touch :-(
(i think from now i'll be more aggressive...then i might get through better?)

Bill, I am sure you were not the one who made me go into the wall. Your arrow was pointing to the right upper corner and than it was gone, so I turned into turn1 and saw 3 arrows pointing to my bud and then went straight into the wall and was 12th, never made it to turn 2 with you, in turn 4 you showed up behind me, as I remeber well.

Mostly dissapointed in my pitcrew and my 2 spins on the curbs. My fastest time was on primes in lap 5, with an empty tank and on options was 1/10th slower!!! Just dont understand...
Pitlane speeding in Valencia....how is that posible.... did hundreds of pitstops here never ever had pitlane speeding..... Was just a strange day today, when the qualy loaded there was NO car!! Could only select go to track and appeared at the straight right away!!! Might post that video!

Leagues races are more professional. It's all about the points, commitment and championships. Besides that there is the pressure of running with some of the best drivers in the simracing community! This does not mean that you need to have alien speed to attend in leagues! You will always find in every race people of your level!

I LOOOOOOVE THIS ****!!!! 4th place finish for me tonight... F...ing amazing race I had tonight.... Thanks guys(Goonie11)

Qualified in 6 place which I was very happy with, considering I expected slow pace from me tonight, with me racing from cockpit view.

Race start with the pole sitter not getting of the line, so I swoop into 3rd place, then i get pushed off into turn 1(Don't know by who), but I get away i 4th right behind Goonie... From there up til our first pit stop Goonie maintains a gap 2-4 sec. Then he pits, and I take a chance an go for another lap on badly worn options. I pit lap 11 or 12 for my primes, and exit just ahead of Goonie, so my gamble payed off
From there we are pretty much wheel on wheel for the rest of the race, we each make some small mistakes, and take turns in the front of our battle. But it turns out with me in 4, so I was absolutely jumping off my seat with joy!

Have to give great respect to Goonie for some world class clean racing, really looking forward to racing you in the future

And let's not forget the winner of tonight's race... Congrats Andric, great drive again mate, you are like a freaking lightning out on track:fwd:

Well thanks to everyone that showed up only had to use two reserves......no disconnects......hoorah!.....Now to the race .......Turn 3 lap 1......don't ask me why because I can't explain it but for some stupid reason I lost where I was and braked late and I think I only pushed marine a little but am not sure....I want to say sorry....I always lay back in the first two turns to avoid these things....so I really don't know what happened.......I took it upon myself to take a penalty......sat back and watched everyone get up a half a lap.....but that was not enough because I felt like crap and no longer felt like continuing.....I was in a fog trying to figure out why that happened.....I was going to total the car but decided that that was the cheap way out so I cruised around till there was a winner....

I am up for the 2010 car performances. could mean a great race. Mystic should be in the worst car (Virgin or hrt) then Karl (If he is racing) then maybe me in my lotus. Because those guys are faster than me. Peter maybe in a Ferrari or Mercedes, David could be in the Williams (You have really picked up your pace david since you first raced with me)

I too set my best lap early, 3rd or 4th lap chasing Italian. Of course I spent a great deal of time with the orange wing, but still... need more practice!

thx joempie but ive just checked my video and i definately touched your sidepod as we were turning into 2. i have no idea what happened to your car at that moment but the touch was light, so yes i dont think i put you into the wall BUT maybe i slowed you/put you off balance enough for someone else to hit you?? i don't know, but whoever caused you to go into the wall, i am sorry for the touch...it shouldn't happen...

Nooooooo.. not the Mercedes or Ferrari.. I can't stand the views from the cockpit of those two cars lol... actually I'll try them again but last time I did I just couldn't hack it.. felt like I needed to get out of the cockpit to see over the top of those noses!!

Oh and I just realised I had the wrong night for this weeks race lol.. boy i'm confused this week :S

There were many bumps in that turn and I don't think you hit me but it really doesn't matter, as I said, I'm not gonna accuse anyone, I just want us to get rid of these start/Lap 1 incidents. So, I don't think you should feel bad about this Tracy, I been in many races with you and have no complaints whatsoever.
