Sorry couldn't make it last night, Canadian customs held me overnight for bringing in live animals (Ant said it would be fine!). sounds like it was fun & I could ave done with the practice. ChilliFest on sunday afternoon so hope I can stay sober enough to drive at 8!

A bad quali means I can go forwards in the race.
Great Fun race guys.
Light rain in Quali and Mystic put in a scorcher to get into the 1.12s.
We ended up doing random grid to get Dylan back in after a disconnect.
Wet start and first lap incidents put some fast drivers well back. especially Karl whose engineer put him on options for the experience.
This gave others about a 45 sec head start from what I gather.
FigjamRACER has that transient feeling of joy when leading for several laps and watching Mystic get closer and closer. It was a bit like having a stunning but vain girl out for the night. You know it may not last but its fun anyway.
Jono broke his car giving chase which meant one less fast guy gaining on 2nd place.
Various tyre strategies/experiments and Dylan and David opting to pit for fresh options to do the last stint (Dylan quite early) resulted in Karl coming back into play and a three way shootout for 2nd place 3 laps from the end. Mystic showed great pace and was long gone.
Karl got past David with about 1.5 laps to go but Dylans options were about 14 laps old and David about 9 so David was able to hold Dylan off despite a momentary pass at the hairpin which David recovered through better drive onto the straight to re-pass.
Dylans Schumacher esque move at the last chicane got him past but an alert Groundhog wrangler/steward saw the failure to negotiate the chicane and handed out a 20 sec penalty.
1)Dan-Mystic (by 70 sec plus! almost a lap).

6)Jorge- not too sure about 5th and 6th?
Peter no probs at hairpi, I should have suggested you go around it and ease off on the straight which would have been more convenient for you but we were in a titanic 3 way battle and I was too excited.
The teams will be holding a raffle of old uniform hats to help pay for grippier shoes for the marshalls after seeing so many of them falling over trying to run about the track in recent races.

im gonna have to pull off the race... i will not be available between 18-23. so annoyed as i really enjoy to race with you guys. very very sorry...

The race this week will be Canada apparently so you will still have Turkey t oenjoy later on in the season.....
Unfortunately this is now looking bleak for me Enjoyed the Pro-Am practice race yesterday so was really looking forward to this one but less than half an hour after finishing the race I got informed that 2 of my step daughters and one grand-daughter are now coming round for Fathers-Day.... I also have my daughter staying with me for a few days but was still going to race but now unless the visitors go before race time I think it's going to be difficult for me to take part. If I can make it I will but just cannot confirm myself as a guaranteed driver for this week.

And one more question. As title says, first race on 19th June is in Melbourne. But if I look at the calendar above, there is Valencia on 19th and Melbourne on 26th June. What is the first race? Melbourne or Valencia?
