Dear participants, drivers, friends,

After having received three complaints in regards to the race in Montreal, a Stewards Meeting was held via TS3 on the 14th June 2011 from 20:00 GMT until 22:00 GMT.

All official stewards - listed below - took part in the meeting.

According to all the available evidence and surely taking into account any previous complaints, we take following decisions:

Group 2 incident involving the drivers BendingUnt1tled and Zomacher

Driver BendingUnt1tled will be disqualified for the race in Montreal and this result will count at the end of the season.
The evidence showed BendingUnt1tled returned on track in an unsafe manner, making contact with Zomacher and destabilizing his car. Despite this infraction, BendingUnt1tled refused to yield and continued challenging Zomacher into the next corner, effectively taking advantage of the contact he caused.

The stewards determine that the right course of action would have been
a) return to the track safely without compromising the line of any other car and avoiding contact at all costs; and
b) when having made contact with a car in front, the car behind yields and does not attempt to profit from the contact.
For these reasons the stewards have decided to disqualify BendingUnt1tled from the Montreal race.

Group 3 incident involving the drivers dfpredator2009 and ELITE CHS

The evidence provided did not allow the stewards to determine without doubt that there had been contact. Therefore dfpredator2009 will not be issued a penalty.

Group 4 incident involving the drivers MuFaS1983 and Kaos909

Driver MuFaS1983 in regards to the result will be set back from 3rd to 5th position behind driver Kaos909, driver dirtydave01 moves up to 3rd position and driver Kaos909 up to 4th position. The stewards agreed that the video evidence showed dangerous driving by MuFaS1983 by taking the corner without regard for a competitor alongside on the incident. The resulting contact and crash damaged Kaos909's car and severely compromised his race. The stewards determine that the right course of action would have been to either yield or give enough room on the apex for the car alongside on the inside to take the corner without contact.
For these reasons the stewards have decided for MuFaS1983 to be classified behind Kaos909.

We want to once again take this opportunity to advise all the drivers to drive even more careful, forward looking, clean and fair, especially in those always very challenging first corners. In addition we want to advise you all to drive “very” careful in situations where one or more cars go “ghosts”, as we all are aware of the issues the game has and to prevent any contacts. If you have a contact and gain a position or more in an unfair way, then just let the disadvantaged drivers pass again and continue the hunt, isn’t that even more appealing than knowing that one has gained positions in an unfair manner? Please respect this steward's decision and refrain from further discussing the incidents on the forums. The matter ends here, the penalties will not be reconsidered unless additional relevant video evidence is provided to the stewards.

Regarding all the video coverage we have seen posted, we want to thank all those workaholics out there who are spending all that time and effort to supply the racing community with all those awesome videos. You are making the league more interesting for us all and even for other drivers interested to join in the new season. Keep up the good work!

We advise all drivers to record their races and post them on the forums. The more evidence of race incidents we get, the better we can take everyone’s view into account and make a fair decision.

In regards to the restart of the group 4 race in Montreal, we decided that the second race counts, well done by the host David Ross, but we will include some additional rules into the rules and regulations in the next days. As soon as the rules and regulations are updated, we will announce this on the forums.

Last but not least, we want to thank the stewards for their time, effort and input. We must say it is a pleasure to work together with all of you. Every decision was acknowledged by vote and all the votes were in total agreement.

We wish all the Drivers good luck and lots of fun in the next race in Valencia and are looking forward to even more video coverage of hopefully even more clean races.
