Only two days left before the race...

Have you guys been able to practice much? I did some laps in GP mode and did a few short races yesterday. I never really got a hot lap in without making a mistake or running into traffic, so I'm not sure what my qualifying pace is. Dan Holland says he loves this track; I think he may be the one to beat this week.

Well iv'e had 1/4 practice Wedsnday night, half a race practice tonight (my connection dropped lol )

and around a hour, so all in all about 2 hours Practice....with a very fast & stable setup :)

Im looking forward to racing Dan then if he has the pace hehe.

i believe there are spaces in both and you can play with whatever TC you want, btw if you want to join the monaco race that darren is holding on friday then head over and sign up how he tells you to on the first page, same to Thomas Helmer as well

Romano, you can play with all asists except Braking Assist on both, on Robs you can't use ABS and on mine you can have ABS but not any pit entry or pit braking

Thanks, both of you, for the help!
I'll sign up just now :D

EDIT - actually not sure which thread I've to put it on, if someone could provide me with a link I'd greatly appreciate it..:p
and sorry to sound so needy lol, still getting up to speed with this racing forum (excuse the pun :p)

Well i qualified in 7th, i just don't have enough confidence to go flat out on this track. Hope it wasn't me who got in your way Scott and sorry to anyone else if i got in your way during qualifying.

Started the race in 5th after 2 drivers in front have 5 place penalties, Scott passed me in turn 1 and then when i got to the top of the hill i spun and caused complete chaos, sorry about that everyone. I had about 4 stops for wings but at least i eventually got into a rhythm of sorts and managed a good few laps without crashing.

I'm really dreading the Championship race on Saturday night now. :)

Saturday Championship (Darren Bentley) http://www.racedepartment.com/f1-2010-racing-club/51695-f1-2010-weekly-championship-thread.html

and Sunday Championship (Rob butler) a race should popup saying " RD Weekly World Championship @ Great Britain - 29th May 2011" When that does just introduce yourself and sign up.

and Darren that sucks, we could always just do our own one anyway, im currently in a "league type system" over at the codies site we have drivers and constructers championships going on, even has something like a stewards meeting after the race aswell lol

Is that a polite hint at me to keep my mouth shut or a thank you for your good work? looool aslong as they have some common sense unlike the people me and Lee had to put up with last week then all should be good, and just a warning if i do by some miracle not crash the car whilst leading and do happen to be behind someone im going to be adopting Lees approach of negotiating traffic lol

Well I had a horrid time tonight, non of anyones fault I might add, I've only driven on the circuit once and that was about 5 laps before the race started to get a setup with which I managed a 1:17:xxx.

Qualifying was not to shabby I think I qualified 4th and I knew with a clean lap I could have done a mid 1:16 or low 1:17 which would have put me possibly on pole or 2nd.

Then the race, I started pretty well, think I retained 4th until the firsrt corner I was on the outside of the track and got pushed wide, with slowing cars infront I lost a few more places and then got hit from behind and spun out. I got going again in last place knowing I had a pretty good pace so I decided to pit early for some "Primes" after starting on the "Option" tyre. I got running again and got up to 2nd running in clear air ... a few more laps on and I got it wrong in the swimming pool section of the track, I clipped a barrier a little too hard and broke my front wing, so with another pit stop to fix that I rejoined in 3rd to have a puncture later on coming out of the tunnel, the brakes just didn't want to stop me, I ended up in the barrier head on like Button did a few years ago, end of race.

Thanks for all who turned up and the host, I look forward to a somewhat more successful outing again soon :D

Stu

and im hoping for a wet one to, the only wet race we had i was third, if its dry, look out for an impressive laptime from Lee, in Robs championship he was about a second and a half faster then everyone till i put it all on the line for my lap, and was still 6 tenths off of his prime time with my options lol, i would like a fight on the track with you Darren, remember the gaps 4 points only lol
