Wife says I have to wait... So It could be that I don't race till F1 2011 Then I have to learn to use a steering wheel, that takes us to 2012 then I have to get good with the wheel so were looking at F1 2013 before I can match my amazing speeds :s

Could have sworn that assists were banned when I looked at this yesterday! I was gonna try and rearrange things so I could race early at 7pm, but if im competing with abs and TC drivers again ill give it a miss as we had a Monaco last week.

Yes assists were off at first but i saw nobody was coming so i put them on, if you like i can put assists off again if that is ok for scott ?
Also if you prefer 20.00 gmt that is fine aswell

As per my PM, I think the slow uptake may be because there was a Monaco race last week, so please dont change the times or assists on my account as im still not 100% sure I can do Wednesday. Im still fairly new at assistless driving, so especially at a track like Monaco, Ill be disadvantaged yet again.

Maybe the other guys could post what is putting them off? I still think its more fun without assists.

Me too mate, me too! I couldnt even take a corner without ABS or TC until 3 weeks ago where in the space of a week I got the hang of things during the Brazil TT week 11. Even at Spa on sunday, it was really wet and assists were allowed - I was so tempted to use them, but resisted. I made a few mistakes but was pleased to put it over the line as a lot of people didnt. Now im that little bit wiser at those conditions and track without assists and doubt ill ever go back to using them, even if it means losing to someone who can just bury their foot at will.

Not using them is my choice and I dont want to force that down anyone elses throat or make Piet go back to banning them for this meet. I suppose it can alienate joypaders too.

Yes, you are gonna spin and maybe crash with no assists, but so will everyone else. If someone else doesnt make a mistake and wins the race, then they were the better driver on a level playing field, not one polluted with driver aids.

It depends on the equipment i guess... If you have a wheel, pedals and gear paddles then playing with assists off is a must really... Better that you control the car rather than the pc no?....once u get used to it you will be much faster.....
The other day at spa it ws wet and some guy igor won only because he was using assists and TC, mainly in the rain TC is a big advantage.... i just finished a race against him at budapest assists banned only 20 % and he was 60 sec behind... That says enough....

Ok then I will put the assists on again, I don't mind others use it.... But i will keep the weather clear then, no rain otherwise tc is to much an advantage....

The first thing i did when i got the game was to turn off TC and ABS. I admit to using them sometimes when doing online races but never on RD races or when i'm hosting myself.

The only one i still need is auto gears, haven't really got the hang of manual shifting yet but otherwise everything off is fine by me

All that happens in I will add you to my friends list ingame and when you come on about 10 - 15 mins before the race start I will invite everyone to the room.
