Ok the results are in, but first a view of the race from my perspective. 25% chance of rain in the race was raining at the start so I thought id try and be clever and start on primes instead of the pre selected inters this was the BIGGEST!! mistake I ever made by the time I got round to the pits changed tires and got to the end of the pit lane Igor had lapped me. Was battling to unlap myself although I think Igor may not have realised I was just trying to unlap myself when I did get by he managed to stay up my rear for half a lap with blue flags on me, I thought no probs as soon as we hit the main straight ill be gone but noooo as soon as we hit that last corner PENALTY so ok I dive off into the pits only to get another penalty for speeding. Unlapped myself from a number of cars got back up to Igor.

Lap 20 rain starts to ease off im praying Igor pits in so I can makea single lap dash to gain time and pass in the pits which it exactly what happened, so I go in to the pits overshoot the white line 2nd penalty for speeding im thinking this race is not going well for me. I server the penalty and just keep push push pushing realising I was catching Plynn at a second a lap I knew it wasnt enough to catch him but all of a sudden its Marine ahead of me and im lapping some 4-6 seconds a lap quicker, at this point im getting overjoyed I might have a podium at this rate, well as it turns out I had no more mishaps I just kept going quicker and quicker caugt up to Marine and within the lap was past him span it half way round the lap he retook 3rd but not for long. Again on the pit straight I run down the outside of him to the first corner for the second time and this time all goes well on the lap, ended up catching Plynn at about 0.5sec a lap but he was still 20 secs down the road finished in 3rd place im well chuffed with it.

Yeah, I almost hit you, Andrew, at the start, but managed to avoid it.
My team strategy said to change tires at lap 31 but i knew that if it stopped raining they would die fast :).
And they did, at lap 20 i pitted and put on primes, which lasted good, with 10 laps to go my fronts were yellow but they stayed so until the end.

I think it was a really fun race, qualifying went smooth, people giving space to cars on a fast lap and same in the race. In all a good race, i think. :)

Oh, and a nice recap of the race from your point of view :good:

I have to give massive credit for Tracy for staying for the whole distance I dunno how many times I lapped her and how often I saw her without a front wing alot of ppl would have just smashed their car into a wall but you just kept plodding around and gave a ton of space when being lapped (possibly a bit to much) remember though you dont need to get out of the way just because someones coming up close especially if its going to hamper yourself only move off line if your on a straight otherwise just stay there and make the guy lapping do the work its less risky this way. Remember its 3 blue flags before you get penalized.

What controller are you using Tracy?

Thanks Andrew and I will remember the blue flag advice, oh just to clarify I would be a HE not HER......not a problem happens all the time. As for controller well my first wheel ( early birthday present ) came via ups about 2 hours before race, I am a happy camper, spent time setting it up and and r&d at brazil, all looked good ....untill I go to qualify suddenly I have no control at all ! I panick and get the basics set but it just didn't feel the same, now race starts and a couple of laps in wheel starts to come off the desk "more panick sets in " at this point I ask myself "are we having fun yet and I reply " HELL YES "..oh bye the way I fired Bob it was all his fault...lol......I did figure out the problems , no control was do to the fact that I set up the wheel in my offline profile......mmmm never thought about that till after race, as for the wheel coming off the desk " operator error ".Good race everyone, Thanks again and remember I am new and will get a little better with time.

Ok the results are in, but first a view of the race from my perspective. 25% chance of rain in the race was raining at the start so I thought id try and be clever and start on primes instead of the pre selected inters this was the BIGGEST!! mistake I ever made...

There they are....

Enjoyed that race. Was even running 2nd for a fair few laps. Had a bit of a questionable drive through when i lost the back end as I was being passed up the inside by Marine, and then PLynn drove into the back of me when there was nothing I could do about it.

Andrew, I nearly rear ended you on the grid, and just after you passed me, you drove straight off the track and it really took my attention so I messed up the next corner lol.

Only grumble would be when I was run off the road by Tracy who must have been getting blues - but hey ho, good shout at not giving up too easily!

All in all, good race guys! I recorded the whole race, so may put a little highlight reel together...

First I wil sorry Paul I tried to stay out of the way, second my wheel is Thrustmaster F430 I know it's not he best but hey you have to start somewhere. also Andrew my gfwl name decoded......tbbassman..t = Tracy B= Booth.....bassman= fishing..........and last sorry if I ran anyone else off.

Hey no pobs Tracy, i sometimes think im a bit too courteous! Once you get more used to the game that 430 will serve you well.

Ive cut all the interesting bits from my Tcam video. Most people make an appearance at some point. Ill encode it and up it tomorrow.

It was an enjoyable start for me, I got off the grid quite well, but 3rd lap in....I stuck it in a wall going to fast round curva de sol, took of my front wing pitted and then, disaster, the pit team put me on softs.....no grip, sliding everywhere, effectivley runing my chances, manaeged too go past Tracy who looked like he needed a canoe too get round ;] and spent the rest of the distance chasing Devil, but just couldnt find the groove. Looking forward too the next one!
