F1 2020 Performance mod for 2021

Misc F1 2020 Performance mod for 2021 1.9 FINAL

hello, question, is it possible to transfer the performance of the teams / cars from the F1 2021 game to the F1 2020 game.
I had the possibility to analtyze the files of the beta version but I currently do not own 2021 on pc. You can copy the values of some departments but the files in 2021 have several additional lines for the enhanced damage model with new parts, in addition to the fact that the tyre physics has changed handling-wise thus implementing many new line and values.

I am playing with the deluxe version on Xbox right now and the vehicles performances are more close to the 2020 values rather than the current ones, so my mod right now is more accurate, haha!

Just kidding of course, but Codemasters have a performance patch already planned to reflect the 2021 values. I'm sad I won't be able to analyze the new files once they patch it!

Hi guys! Really cool thread! I think I've found the right place...I've read and watched a lot of videos about F1 series mod and started to get familiar with cd (coefficent of drag) and cl (coefficent of lift or downforce for codies). What I was wondering is to understand where and how the "wings" value are...I mean ok let's say Red Bull has

<m_aero_front_cl_maxf_maxr value="1" />
<m_aero_front_cl_maxf_minr value="1" />
<m_aero_front_cl_minf_maxr value="1" />
<m_aero_front_cl_minf_minr value="1" />

while Ferrari

<m_aero_front_cl_maxf_maxr value="0.965" />
<m_aero_front_cl_maxf_minr value="0.965" />
<m_aero_front_cl_minf_maxr value="0.965" />
<m_aero_front_cl_minf_minr value="0.965" />

it's clear Ferrari has -3.5% of downforce compared to Red Bull..but what amount of downoforce is that Red Bull 1?? And how can I know settings wings in setup how much downforce i'm adding\producing????

Plus what exactly
<m_aero_front_wing_loss value="0.5" />
means??
Is there a way to understand that?? Thank you in advance! :)

Hi. I haven't looked at F12021 yet. Only know F12020. But think a bigger number in Downforce is better. More contact pressure on the ground. This makes the car more stable.
The front wing loss value is used if the front wing is damaged or missing. I think.

man your mod is really missed here on 2021 game..verstappen is slow as hell
I think the RedBull has too much drag in F12021.
<F1Aero>
<m_aero_cd_min value = "1.07059991" />
<m_aero_cd_max value = "1.0503999" />
A lot.
Mercedes.
<m_aero_cd_min value = "1.06" />
<m_aero_cd_max value = "1.04" />
Got the data from a performance mod for F12021. However, the modder has adjusted the drag on some cars. I can't say whether all of these are still the original values.

Enrique,
Your mod is fantastic, I use it since first version. However can you direct me on witch file I can modify performance indivdiual, (Not into performance _team.erp), in order to modify some issue I have here :
With a modding game 2020-2021 season from Xurda, (thank to him) , I got in My Team always SAINZ faster than LECLERC, Bottas faster than Hamiltion and Verststapen slower than Perez !!!
Is there an erp file for each driver I could change in order to revert this issue. ??, If so, where are they stored ?
Many thanks.

Unfortunately drivers are not moddable, we don't have access to their database files. In the 2021 mods Sainz may perform better than Leclerc in Ferrari because the spaniard replaces Vettel who has an 88 overall rating higher than Leclerc's 87. About Bottas being faster than Hamilton it's a common "bug" reported multiple times in the official game forum but about Perez being faster than Verstappen I have no clue because Albon's 78 rating is quite low

thanks you for explanation Enrique, I understand now why rating is so important.
If It was possible to swap drivers names /numbers / Faces, it would solve this kind of issue as they are into the same Team.
When playing, it is a little annoying to see how Codemaster has never take care of this. ie: Alex Albon never beats Verstappen and they know that before coding the game.

Yeah and also in my modded 2020 game MAZ is often ahead of MSC because of Grosjean's higher rating compared to Magnussen. I tried to swap their appearances and it is indeed possible to do that although somehow I messed it up and created an abomination with a mix of the two faces

A question for clarification:

If I have Modular Mods installed and I also use a skin mod, I can simply put the "performance_f1_teams.esp" inside the ACTIVE folder and the mod will work, right? No need to use the Ego ERP Archive and .vtf files?

Sorry for the late reply: yes, the purpose of the performance ERP file is to drag it into the ModularMods ACTIVE folder and that's it, the game will load car performance from that file. Easy! :)
