Hi, I'm new here and new to modding F1 (I am not new to modding though, I have done the odd mod for MLB2k12 and NBA2k14) and have learned quite a bit from this forum and through trial and error. One problem I am having today is re-coloring the driver suit texture. I did it with the car/livery but that seems to only change the uniform while in the car (can barely see the changes). I see files in the characters\texture sets for pitcrews and race crew, but nothing for the drivers.
Can someone please assist me with the location of driver uniforms that are seen during the cut scenes? Thanks!
PS - is this a "mipmapping" issue?

hi i've been trying to mod the skin of the mclaren (F1 2014) for days, but i don't know how to change the main_specocc file. Everytime i change something in the specocc file my car turns into pitch black. I just want to add a new test to the nose, rear wing and maybe add some logos.

Thank you kri13jam, I had poked around in that folder but missed those higtxt files. It's hard to differentiate what is what graphically in these images, but I'm guessing the team_livery_d.tga is the target I'm after. Thanks again, time for some practice!

when you change nico in sam you change every name in the game related to nico, so also hulkenberg. what you can do is create a new row, name it db_Sam (and SAM in the value part). then go in the db to the tab f1drivers and change in the row first_name_string_id the name of nico rosberg to sam, so Nico becomes Sam (make sure you've the S). and if you change nico in the language file back to nico you'll have the problem solved

Hi Everybody.

I'm fairly new to modding F1 games, but I have quite a bit of experience on other titles. I have a fairly basic question - Is it possible to use database mods, such as advanced AI, in LAN games? Some friends and I have an ongoing championship using Tuungle (We also have genuine Steam copies, we're not pirates) and would like to modify the AI behaviour. Any attempts so have resulting in lost connection upon entering the car. Is there a file integrity check on online/LAN games?

i maybe need some help with my 2015 mod, i found a way to have the evaluation test at jerez (so we get kind of a feeling for the winter testing, intro is fine, everything works great. until you get over the line and you can't drive the car. it directly slows down to third and you get the notification ''invalidated lap'' after that: evalution test failed, you can try again. and i can't get a way to fix this. has anyone an idea?

Does anyone know how to convert a facefx file (F1 2011) to ffx (2014), and which specific file is used as the career and online face?
 
Just wondering if anyone ever worked out how to extract the .nfs files from 2013? I really want imola back in my career mode and just copying the .nfs files across and changing the relevant fields in the database didn't work, so I need them extracted to get it to work. Thanks.
 
This year will not longer in force double points in the last Grand Prix of the season. Which part of database to modify about Abu Dhabi track , anyone does know it?

Can anyone explain me how to make a specocc file?
When I looked at this tutorial video I know how to make a blank specocc file, hope this helps you ;)
Note that you should only watch the specocc part
 
Skin models 3D program

Hey,

I tired to do some skinning, but it would be much easier if there would be a programm which shows the actual progress on 3D model. I know that they are programs given, but I don't know theit name and how to use them. Would be great if you could help :)
