Its got nothing to do with textures and mirrors m8 ,,, The 2013 or 2012 which ever game you use a car in ,,, IE/ 2010 car in 2013,,,
That game is set up to read the textures in a different way ,, Like the Sparco has different Colour base from 2011 / 2012 ,,,,
If you used the 2010 Textures and used them in 2012 yes the car would look dull,,,
But if you used a 2010 3D Model with 2012 Textures Setup Then it would look identical
to 2012 Cars,,,,
But you would have a Different 3D Model,,,,
Same goes for the Mirrors ,,, I made a 2010 interior into a 2012 interior and had to replace all the mirror textures to 2012 so the game would read it,,,
You can not use 2010 mirrors in 2012 because the interiors are different ,,,
The issue is that the Files are protected so soon as you change any of the Node Data
in the setup or change the configuration in the way the files are stacked the game crashes,,,,
The only way to do it is to
1/ Open 3D Simed and save the Model as a 3DS,,,
2/ Open 3D Max import the 3DS And save it as a Collada
3/ You need to Download phyeengine and then resave the work as a PSSG again
But to install phyeengine first you need Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SDK C##
And about 15 Plugins which you have to get from about 10 different places
and takes about 3 Hours just to setup before you get near phyeengine,,,
