Demy, I just installed your mod on 50% tyre scaling and did a 25% race in Melbourne with tyre scaling. The only changes I made to your database were moving the safety car chance to 1 for all tracks and maximum safety car deployment to 4 for all tracks.
My feedback:
And first time I've seen a Toro Rosso win a race. Got a 20 second penalty that put me down from podium finish to 4th
My feedback:
- AI are more aggressive and faster, but still run into you from behind a lot, even when trying to overtake you just out of the exit to a corner (see my video below as the example).
- Tyre scaling was 100% spot on, and I could barely hold out for a 1 stop strategy in Melbourne of Options 5 laps, Primes 10 laps (see image below of last lap on my primes). Some cars like the Toro Rosso's did 2 stop strategys, others did 1.
- DNFs - there were 5 DNFs in total to mechanical problems (including both Red Bulls ), but a red flag on second corner of lap 1 retired six cars in first lap, and 1 more car had a terminal accident on lap 1 of restart. Plus 2 times during the race other cars retired due to accidents with other drivers or maybe tyre wear?? , leaving a 9 car finish to the race . Definitely the most eventful 25% race I've had so far in this game, with a red flag and many accidents due to mistakes and retirements. Shame no SC was ever deployed though, that would have topped off something really brilliant, but I guess you can't get them all. I'll talk more about that in the safety car fix thread, but I believe it is much harder to bring out safety car with just AI crashes with other AI, and much easier to bring it out if the player causes the AI car to crash. Tyre wear may be causing more accidents, but I did see the AI make a few mistakes too which caused accidents as well.
