Is the snap you get from downshifting to maybe 2nd or 1st? It could just be you're going in too hot with high RPMs. It was all about flow and smoothly going through the gears, both accelerating and braking. If you're braking with 200m or less from high RPM on 5th gear, you're pushing too much.
It feels more pronounced in these. Bearing in mind we already have the F Retro by Reiza for the same years and that doesn't suffer anywhere near as badly.
I experimented by pasting the Reiza engine and gear files and pointing the hdv files to them instead of the originals and coupled with a setup as close to the stock Retro to compare. The car becomes much more understeery but is much more stable under braking and acceleration.
Considering the majority of the cars ran the Cosworth DFV engines at the time the default engine file seems to overpowered approx 500bhp @ 12,000rpm (more suited to the Ferrari's V12) whereas they were aparently nearer 450bhp @ 10,800rpm. Reizas engine file for the Retro seems much more in line with this.
is there a Interest in a 1975 Trackpack, it's only a convert from rf1 and I have no Idea about the dynamic Tracks from AMS, but I miss this old Tracks in AMS
Would love a track pack if it was available and permissions were granted. Bear in mind that at least 4 rounds are aready available in game; Buenos Aires (no. 15 seems to be the right layout, no expert though), Interlagos historic, Johannesburg historic and spielberg vintage. It would be cool if you could edit the series file to include these in the scene order so we could do single player championships
Where does the physics reside in the F175 files? I have been playing around with no noticeable results so far.
Vehicle folder. They all share the same physics with the 75_LE hdv.
I copy, pasted and renamed a .hdv with each constructor; changing the mass, wheelbase and track, sometimes fuel tank capicity according to info I found online, and in the case of the ferrari created a new engine file from the defualt one. You then need to change the .veh file to point to the new .hdv
If you just want to change the characteristics of every car just edit the 75_LE.hdv as by default all the cars are pointing to that file e.g to change the engine toa more realistic DFV replace the default engine.ini to 'F_Retro_Engine.ini'
