European Truck Sim 2: Mystery Location Teased

SCS Software have revealed a mystery teaser video from an upcoming new map expansion for the sim - but can you tell where it is?

Featuring the worlds most unruffled and rigid man on a horse, the new trailer certainly doesn't give much away in terms of location detail or information, however that sort of challenge has never been one to stop our intrepid RaceDepartment community from making a guess or two...

With a new location having been in the works in the background at SCS Software for quite some time according to the developers, the time is getting nearer for a full reveal of what players can next expect to enjoy within the rapidly expanding title. Although not quite ready to spill the beans just yet, SCS have sent into the wilds this curious new teaser trailer... leading many to wonder, just where is this new expansion going to be set?

Let the guessing begin!

European Truck Simulator 2 is available now for PC.

100% not Iberia or Russia. Developers confirmed that long time ago.
But it is very likely that Iberia will be the next expansion after this one
which is undoubtedly somewhere in Balkans (Romania/Serbia).
Question is only if we get the whole Balkans or a part of it.
One fact: They also confirmed that it's going to be the biggest ever
map DLC. But the whole region is huuuge so one has to doubt if they
really are able to give us all at once or if they must split the balkans
in two separate DLCs with a release of the second part years later.

100 % Balkan. If you visit Romania or Serbia, there is horse traction traffic and tractors very frequent. Second option is Ukraine, but the church in the video is more "european" and non east orthodox style.

No such churches in Bulgaria. Roumania 100%..but the music is Bulgarian (the bagpipe and so on). What the...?
Yes, looks like Romania and sound like … I don't know somewhere in Balkans (Bulgaria?). The music is Journey of Life by Adik Angel, which is Bulgarian but live in Switzerland. I really hope is Romania. I'm Romanian, so I can't wait to go at work with A BIG TRUCK :)
And I really hope the roads are not laser scanned

The environment, the color of the dirt and the plants make me think Greece, but the church, the guy in the wagon and the other things about it make me think Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, or another Slavic country.
