ACC Endurance Series Round 8 @ Spa - Mon 20th March 2023

Assetto Corsa Competizione Racing Club event
Hi Chris,
please add me to the field. It will be my first race after my race against COVID. Sadly COVID won this race against me :( I‘ve lost a significant part of my left eyesight and try to get used to it. I will drive as safe as possible to not be a risk for the other guys. If anyone thinks I shouldn’t not attend, that‘s ok.
Bestest, Michael
Sad to hear those news, but happy to have you back!

I'm still suffering a bit from my week of covid. Hard to focus and get tired super easily (have to take a nap after work every day now).
Hopefully with some rehab you will still get that eye sight fully back.

You will surely win with those times, the R8 must be a rocket machine:roflmao:

Easy time, just miss the last chicane!

Hi Ricardo,
its post covid time and your tireness looks familiar to me. According to the doctors my eyesight on the left eye is irreversible degraded.
Lessons learned: in case of visual disturbances don‘t trust your ophthalmologist. Jump instead in your racing car and drive as fast as you can to a good eye clinic. This is my plan, hopefully not necessary.

Realy sad to hear.
I hope you will get your eyesight despite the call from the docs a bit back.
Covid can be nothing more than life changing.
I'm still suffering with "bronchitis" now 5 weeks away from being down with covid. Doing a training ride on the bike is still not funny.

Not-So-Weekly (forgot to post it last week) custom livery reminder:
If you guys want to share your livery for the race day, just send me a PM with the download link or the file directly attached. To make this job easier, it would be great if you could put package (WinRAR, 7zip) the Cars and Liveries folders, e.g.:
  • Cars folder
    • car.json
  • Liveries folder
    • Livery name folder
      • decals.png
      • decals.json
      • sponsors.png
      • sponsors.json
This format is not necessary, but would accelerate the process greatly
I'm gonna change it up a bit this time:

See you on the racetrack!

Hi Oliver, I miss my training sessions too. Hope to start with my regular training in 2 weeks. I will start slowly to not risk anything. You should do the same.

Yeah, about Eau rouge.

I'm super slow through it, whatever the car, if I can think of anywhere to be cautious behind me on this circuit, its this corner section, I may very well lift or even brake when you are least expecting it and I really don't want to ruin your race.

A spin/crash for me means moving down the field from last to last.
For you, it's probably rather more serious than that, I appreciate that very much, hence my heads up.

I don't know why I just never seem to get it right, so proceed with caution.

Usual from me this race, at the back driving Miss Daisy, try and get out of your way as quickly and safely as possible, and see if I can just improve laps as the race progresses.

Have you dabbled with any other cars? The Aston in particular is very confidence inspiring.

I had a go at the Bentley at Silverstone and the AMG somewhere during this series, maybe Imola?

I almost drove the Ferrari at Laguna Seca, but although it felt more precise than the Porsche, it felt a bit, well, light and delicate for want of a better way to describe it without wishing to insult any Ferrari fans.

Tbh I love the way the Porsche drives, which is why I want to master it, but I'll give the Aston a go, I had heard it was a sensible choice for a rookie.

But I do love the Porsche and I just might not be able to help myself come race day....
