With E3 now in full swing over in LA, the team behind Assetto Corsa Competizione have revealed first gameplay from this exciting upcoming sim racing title...

We've had a couple of videos already from the title in action as driven by guests at the E3 event in LA, but today Kunos Simulazioni have released what we've all been waiting for, in game capture footage of ACC direct from the work in progress version of the title... driven by someone who knows what they are doing too!

Using Unreal 4 as the core game engine, it is immediately noticeable even at this early stage of development how much of an improvement the graphics are in the upcoming game over the current Assetto Corsa title, a simulation which frankly still does a very solid job of holding its own in the graphics department despite its relative grand old age in the sim racing arena.

Now that Steam Early Access deployment is getting closer (remember we are expecting a "summer" release at the moment), Kunos have taken to the E3 2018 event with a playable version of Assetto Corsa Competizione, running the software on the Thrustmaster stand for visitors to have a go around the Monza circuit as the title makes its public debut over in Los Angeles..

On a side note, if you want to kill some time until more info on ACC is released, why not check out the ACC Wish List thread and leave a comment, or watch our exclusive interview with Stefano and Marco on their hopes and plans for the new title HERE and HERE

Assetto Corsa Competizione should be available on Steam Early Access Summer 2018.

For me one of the worst things in AC is the samples of some sounds.
There is this one when the car goes thrugh a bumb that sounds like the car have a bag of empty cans and I never heard it before, in cars that I drove or watching onboards on youtube.
Obviously is not the final product but for me doesn't look too much difrent from AC in therms of sound.
Apart from that, the visuals are beautiful and I can't wait to get seat time on this thing!
Well I wont drive it much either way, adding cars or making mods,
so using the AI for me is key sounds and visuals number 1 :D
but yes final version should reflect a more polished game.

I really do like AC, but there's no intend for me to be hyped for ACC. In AC, you always drive an GT3, everywhere. I got enough of that. The real strength of AC aren't the GT3, in my honest opinion!

AC has more then enough GT3s available. But they have got all the other stuff, especially the historic cars. The freedom of tracks, even to create the perfect track for yourself by yourself. Even in a car, what you would like to create. And this all with proper physics, in search for it's competitor.

It was this kind of freedom and with this coming, the diversity, I liked most of AC.

What happened? With ACC, they take all that away. The diversity.

You don't need weather and/or day & night transitions, to create a unique race.
ACC is the bridge between AC and AC2.
Call it "Prologue", if you please.

Kunos are experimenting with a new graphic engine, UE4. They are improving the physics. As you can see they did improve graphics and even sound, massively!

Don't forget Marco Massarutto talked about DLCs after the release V1.0
Kunos Simulazioni managed to sign an exclusive contract of license with SRO Motorsports.
SRO owns Series such as: GT4 European Series | Pirelli World Challenge | ULTRACAR GT1

Now go check Ultracar GT1 car roster. At least 10 cars are already in AC as licensed cars. So Kunos could easily license the missing 8

Don't forget that Kunos Simulazioni has been acquired by 505 GAMES. This means a lot of support, in terms of money and new developers for the team. Also means we will almost surely have an AC2 after Competizione, taking full advantage of all the knowledge Kunos acquired with ACC and this new UE4, which the very first time seen on a racing title.

Most modern games have DLC...I think ACC is a core and other disciplines will be added as DLC. Or the game would be called Assetto Corsa Blancpain. Just think Endurance, La mans IMSA Jap GT ooohhh the mind boggles.

Nah, assetto corsa competizione is just a preview of AC 2.
And they are doing it right from the business point of view.. and they are colecting data with the new engine and features to release lately in the big boy Assetto Corsa 2

And the next question is:
...sound improved, graphics improved, physics improved, weather improved, AI improved, spectators, stewards and pit crew improved.
How much is improved the damage model? :D
Please @kunos , give also damage some love ehehehe :inlove:

I just saw the video with rain ... something is wrong on the windshield of my car in real life ... when it rains incredibly ... the drops fall ... ops! as in rfactor2 ... conclusion: the Real life and rfactor2 are wrong ... hahahahaha
