Idle plays in pitstop, and if you enable that, also when you stand still outside of pitstop.

In theory, all you should need is to have music in the Other folder. It is possible that i've messed something up, but it's unlikely at this point.

I have all my music in Other - for driving, Idle - for pitstop, and both Finish folders. Everything else is empty on my installation. I do agree it may be confusing, but that's the best I could think of.
bro it still doesn't work
are you sure I should put the folder in lua?
Or should I paste the content inside the folder in lua?

steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\lua\DynamicMusicPlayer\DynamicMusicPlayer.lua
and
steamapps\common\assettocorsa\apps\lua\DynamicMusicPlayer\Music\*folders*

Please don't tell me you're copying the zip file into lua folder
:D

no the Lua should be in the folder. Looks good on the last screenshot.

If it still doesn't work, even if you only put music in Other folder and no other, then something is broken bad. Make sure you have the required Custom Shaders Patch version or later.

Actually, the fact that you have no other Lua apps than this one, feels a bit sus.

Hi
It doesn't work.
I even installed Content Manager just to test if it works or not, and it didn't work even after dragging the file into CM and letting it do its thing.
I really don't know what should I do now

Show me the Settings -> Custom Shaders Patch -> About & Updates

Also show me About -> About

Also should show this in Lua Apps

Gonna repeat again, the fact that this is your only Lua app is very sus.
I suspect that you're running old versions of stuff.

Your name isn't listed as the author. I think I did something wrong here so I'm gonna delete it and install it again on CM.
By the way, I installed the latest version of Custom Shaders Patch because later versions are better ( obviously lol ) and you said it should be at least 0.2.2
P.S 1: I know how it feels helping people like me, and I have to admit that you are a huge help. Keep it up!
P.S. 2: I fixed the problem I told you above by deleting the mod and redownloading and reinstalling it.

All good bro, you asked for help, i'm here for help. Weird that a reinstall fixed stuff but, okay. Maybe something was copied wrong during all that confusing mess with locations you had earlier. Either way, you have not been arrogant and you did not insult me, so I had no reason not to try to help you. :)

I hope it works now. I know that the way the music folders work is not the most self-explanatory and intuitive thing in the world, but I really wanted to give the functionality for those who want it and let those who don't want some parts of it be able to skip them. I think I have succeded in that regard. The guide to that could probably be written better too. Maybe I should add a Readme file to the Music folder.

Yeah adding a readme file would be amazing too
also it would be great to add a widget mentioning the name and the singer of the track if possible
thanks again for your help!
I also learned a lesson: Content Manager is much better than AC launcher :D

It's already there. it will be under Music Player Settings app. It's showing name of the file though so you have to make sure the files aren't named with gibberish.

Hello, i just wanna know how many music can i put in the folder, i try put 11 songs and the app only play about 4 songs total before looping to the first one again.
EDIT: Released an update that "fixes" this! Download 2.2!

There's no limit unless Lua will crash if the table gets too big... but that probably would be hundreds of thousands. You will run out of disk space first.

HOWEVER, the app is tracking how many times it has played each of the song, and if it played one more times than the next one on the list, it's skipping one, with intention to prioritise songs that it played less of.

I didn't think about it this way, maybe I should add a toggle to disable that... I will do that for next version
For now though, You have 2 options.

One is to clear out the list. open the data.ini folder, and delete EVERYTHING in it.

And the other option is to remove the feature.
Open the DynamicMusicPlayer.lua and search for this block of code.

Remove the few lines for it to look like this:

And save.
