Info
  • Race meetings will consist of a qualifying session and feature race that consists of a number of laps aimed to be approximately 55 minutes in length with four longer endurance races of an 85 minute length mixed in.
  • Races will be awarded points as per BTCC system with winner scoring 20 points. Clarification below.
  • On normal feature races each player will be required to make at least one pit-stop with two pit-stops required for endurance races.
  • Pole-sitter scores an extra point.
  • Lobby will open at 8.15pm (UK Time) to allow for any connection issues.
  • Qualifying begins promptly at 8.30 (UK) - anyone not joining in time will be able to start from the back of the grid.
  • Qualifying is a 5 lap race with 10 second gap between starts, winner is best certified time.
  • Damage will be off for this series as Forza has incorrectly modelled the penalty on aero for these cars, however extra attention will be paid to people who treat their and other peoples' cars as anything but the beautiful and fragile machines that they are.
  • There will be a Teams' Championship in addition to the Drivers' Championship. There is also a prize fund for each championship with a minimum of 10 million XP in each kitty. Prizes for Teams' Championship are shared equally between both teammates.
  • Events are bi-weekly on Monday nights.
  • There will be a stewards' room and this will be manned by the 1st, 8th, and last placed points scorers based on the previous round's standings. If any of these people are one of the drivers under investigation the next position down (or ahead in the case of the last placed person) will assume stewardship for the incident in question. Incidents will be investigated upon referral to the Stewards Room thread. If your defence in a situation is that you did not see a car in your blind spot it is imperative that you save the replay so the stewards can examine your in-car view.
  • There is a success ballast in this series where the top 4 drivers in the overall championship table will run with -5% grip for both races and qualifying.
  • For the Driver's championship standings there will be two drop rounds where your two worst results from the season will be removed. This can serve to alleviate having to miss rounds due to other commitments or to forgive you for bad results in a long season.

dam connection cut out, sky are apparently doing some work in my area
btw been looking on the forza site, and wikipedia for the dtm cars for this year and their counterparts (or near enough) are in the game.

il get them tuned and put them in the club garrage, they wont look anything like the 2012 dtms, but we'll stick to our normal cars

thought something like that happened!

Round - 1 Motegi

Qualifying Report/Starting Position - 2nd
Had a good Quali felt i managed to get alot from the car early on. Maybe could have challenged for Pole but it would have had to be a perfect lap!

Race Report - Had a good start off the line, Held the cars behind that i needed to. Followed Karl into turn 1 Mark got v close to my rear end! Kept quite close to Karl as he slid through turn 4, got alongside but was out dragged into turn 5. Karl then put some space between us but was slow through the final corners allowing me to catch back up! We dragged down to turn 1 Karl went wide and i was almost up the inside but he got better traction we where close for another few corners but Karl started putting the times in and pulling away. I could see Mike had got into 3rd and knew he would be catching but after a couple more laps to my suprise id pulled away, it was only around 2 - 5 tenths a lap but as i got the head down trying to keep Karl in sight the gap kept building!! Finished 2nd

Round Summary - Very good race even if it was a little quiet!! The cars are so demanding there entertaining to drive alone. Was very happy with my pace and consistancy. Only had a couple of moments no spins etc!! Good stuff. A bigger grid will be nice tho!!

Round - 1 Motegi
Qualifying Report/Starting Position - 4th
Had a decent Quali. My pace isn't as good around this track in comparison to the other drivers and I managed to get close to my free practise time so not terribly disappointed.
Race Report - Had a good start and was gaining on both Mark and Mike but stayed ultra conservative through 1 and 2 to avoid any shenanigans. Was right on Mike's heals in that first lap while he duked it out with Mark and after he got past Mark was left a little vulnerable which I pounced on mercilessly. After a lap or two behind me Mark made an early pitstop and I came in on the next lap to try and cover him off. Was really surprised to come out a couple of seconds ahead of him and we spent quite a few laps racing hard with an elastic gap between us that would expand and contract a few tenths with every lap but generally remained pretty constant. All my efforts to try and see out a mistake-free race were undone when I came out of 4 the tiniest bit too hot and got my right-rear up on the curbing. The back end went insane and my efforts were for naught as a tank-slapper turned into a fish-tail which subsequently turned into a 270˙ spin. Mark gave me a friendly wave as went by and that was that. Finished the race in 5th.
Round Summary -
We need to be aggressive with our updates to the car if we want to be competitive, and the pundits are probably correct in saying that the team need to drop that donkey Moreno for Perez right away, but luckily Domenicali is the boss and he'll allow me to see out my contract until I can collect my golden handshake.
