DTM: Paul Di Resta and Jake Dennis to Drive for Aston Martin

That's the thing I hate about DTM, it masquerades as a touring car cup while its more like spec Formula series, mandated chassis, gearbox and all.

Yeah - I kinda wish they'd go all the way & combine with a GT series, then they could *really* integrate with SuperGT ( and then rename the whole thing DRM, which is another series with history ). Maybe some other euro GT series ( GT Open? ) can add a Class 1 class....

Thing is I can see how we ended up at the 2000 DTM - if you look at the last years of the original DTM and the ITC we were already at touring-car shaped prototypes. They're trying to brand it DTM instead of the full title these days, I think even they realise they can't pass it off as touring cars anymore.

Next radical idea - replace LMP2 with GT500 ( with it's more liberal interpretation of Class 1 ). Going to have to slow LMP2 in 2020 because P1 will be slower anyway.
