ThySharkRider submitted a new resource:

Vettel + Latifi Restore Post Patch - Brings back the Driver Photos for Latifi and Vettel

THIS DOES NOT UNRETIRE LATIFI OR VETTEL

In the latest patch the StaffPhotoData.uasset files were changed so that Latifi and Vettel no longer would have a driver photo. The update also unlinked the 3d models. This pak restores the file to pre-patch status. So far the only loss I've found as a result is that Neil Houldey the McLaren Technical Chief no longer has a photo.

This mod is less for general use and more for modders to take a look at and see if we can find a better solution

Returned black photo for McLaren Tech Chief

Restores Vettel and Latifis photos and resets the McLaren tech chief to the default no photo picture. Previous version would simply leave him with no head at all.

In the patch 1.6 released a few days ago it added a photo for the McLaren technical chief who previously didn't have one. In doing that they removed the photos and 3d models for Vettel and Latifi. This mod adds back in the necessary files to allow Latifi and Vettel to keep there Photos and the 3D Models while also retaining the new photo for the McLaren Tech Chief.

Using the Database Editor by n4x or the script editor from last years F1 Manager 22 it is possible to bring Vettel or Latifi back into you or the AI teams.

I believe the scripts for changing team and such no longer work though I haven't checked. The specific script that still works is the F1 Manager 2022 SaveFile repacker script. That allows you to unpack the save files.

Hello, I love this patch, having Vettel back to drive with Alonso in the team and Latifi as test driver, but there is a problem that has not been seen, I have Ricciardo as 2 driver in RB with Verstappen and I don't know why when I put the patch, Daniel loses his helmet and puts on a strange one. I don't know if it's a bug in the patch, thanks.

I am frankly unsure exactly what it is that has caused this. Theres going to be a game update reasonably soon so once that is out I will do what I can to search for a fix.

Currently will make it so multiple of the new driver photos will not work. Am currently working on a fix.

Hello, can you explain how you could edit the StaffPhotoData.uasset? Because I can't open or convert it to a readable file like json or something like that as in F1 Manager 22. So for me it's impossible to bring them back in F1 Manager 24. I hope you can help me

Unfortunately you can't edit it. Or atleast no one has been able to work out how to. I was able to use an old version of the file from before they removed vettel, as well as changing a few other files to re add him for 2023. Your best bet to readd him for 2024 would be to replace one of the unused f2 or f3 drivers with his photo.
