You don't know how to properly edit a raceload.jpk file I've downloaded the jpk extractor from ryders website but it doesn't work I've tried wordpad and notepad any ideas?

Another way is to use "Binary Editor (Hex Editor)". (Please google it and you can find several free tools). But the problem is you have to figure out the data by yourself. And I'm not sure the edited data actually works. But it might be worth a try.

Thanks I will have a look I don't normally mod a game but the damage needs modding so I'm hopefully a quick learner is it simple?

Hello.
I've updated the list according to the official "DiRT Rally World RX Multiplayer Update" (25/08/2015) and added 3 new World RX cars to the list.
(Thanks to Codemasters for the update.)

And this time, I added the list of the "Tracks & Folders". As with the old EGO based titles, Track Modding is possible in DiRT Rally, too. And I hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is a mistake. I'll correct it asap.

There were several ways of the Sounds Modding about the old Codemasters titles. But I don't know about that of DiRT Rally.
Please ask about it on other thread or your own thread.

I've read on other (unofficial) website that no further major update was planned about this game, and the Codemasters dev team is now working on the new game with new engine. And I've taken a momentary rest from Sim Racing for months, I'm sorry.
My list was created mainly for Skinners and Camera Modding. But I don't know much about Sound Modding of this game. So, please post your list on your own thread if necessary. There is no problem with me. I think it is the best way for DiRT Rally fans who are interested in Sound Modding to find the information easily.
