The best way to install it is to drop the contents of the .zip into your AC folder. That way, the file needed for night time will be installed correctly too. This file is missed out if you drag the .zip onto Content Manager
If you want CM to install all the folders, you need to create the first folder called MODS, then you put inside content, apps, extension or whatever folder you want to include.

I have same problem with a circuit which includes light configs and it never installed well until I saw the folder tree in one who installed well

Wonderful detail, and performance is great even on a potato!

I know it's not ideal, the user having to swap textures, but I couldn't think of a better way to avoid "the people all look like white ghosts! / the people are all really dark!"
It's really the possible solution for now, thanks once again for taking care to cover both options. Hopefully soon you won't need darker spectators.

Only graphics glitch I noticed on first lap was this floating building:
detail_1.jpg

It's not noticeable when driving properly fast

How the hell did you notice that? I think that building must be about 50mm too high. I have done 1000s of kilometres of testing since I added it and I hadn't spotted it once

I don't think it's bad enough to need an update, is it? I'll correct my 3D file and it's done then, just in case.

Thanks for pointing it out  (and I hope that's the worst thing wrong with the track :roflmao:)

Mine isn't a common scenario, so it makes it easy to spot these things. Right now I'm on a 1680x1050 22" monitor, which has very a low dpi, so a detail like that becomes more enlarged and contrasting/aliased than on a standard monitor (as you can see on the screenshot), as I'm only at the AA 4x ingame (no blurring fxaa on top).

I only happen to notice it because of the objects farther that where showing and "crawling" under those doors. And mind you, this was during a slow touristic lap while looking at those houses. It really isn't worth a dedicated update, it's just something you might include in a later update if anything more important comes up.

Thanks for waiting until today to release it! I should have specified a time, though, I'm still working on this RFP for at least a few more hours! :D

It looks brilliant, and it's already downloaded. Going to be hard to hold off going for a spin (literal and figurative) until I get this stuff done. Simply gorgeous work.

Just as I rejoiced I only have to wait mere days for this release upon finding out about it, my GPU decides to go and die... Karma is a b**ch, I guess.

Damn, dude, what kind of terrible things have you done in your past to deserve that kind of karma? :D

First taste with an old DRM...well, simply a blast.

I missed something. The right folder structure is:
"deutschlandring v1.0.zip\MODS\deutschlandring\content"

I tried that way and CM installed the circuit as a mod, with the .ini for the shaders patch included.

Anyone else having trouble getting the track lights working? I installed by extracting to my main AC folder, I tried adding the track cfg to MODS>... as well as to extension>... and also tried turning shaders patch off and on again via JSGME but no lights on track other than my car headlights.

Brilliant track, really really liking the layout and finding it a good challenge to get to grips with it.

That aside, is anybody finding that they can't get the crowd to show up? This is probably a error with my current load, but I am finding that the crowd is missing from Fat Alfie's other tracks as well but not Kunos ones or other some other modded tracks. I tried extracting the ''people'' zip in the data folder just in case, but no joy in them showing. I have SOL/Wet mod installed with latest shader patch, any suggestions or advice would be a big help before I decide to start the clean install process.

@Andy-R, I just placed the deutschlandring.ini into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\extension\config\tracks and it worked right away for me

@Leitcharound , do you only have problems with my tracks' spectators? That's really weird as I don't do anything differently. Out of interest can you see any of the cows or horses in the fields?

Thanks for replying, I am sure it's nothing you have done but so far only noticing on a few select tracks including yours. But yeah I see no animals, funny enough I do get the camera crew and people in the towers only it seems.

I figured it out, I had to untick "if date is not set, use original sun trajectory" and/or "use seasonal adjustments" in the weather_fx settings. It could be worth mentioning this on the download page if you get any more people having issues with it as AFAIK it is not default to have these unticked. I'm not sure which of the 2 fixed it as I did both.

Hmm.... you didn't extract the NO PEOPLE.zip archive into your deutschlandring/data folder did you? That would remove all the spectators and animals from the fields.

If you did, you can reinstate them by extracting the contents of the PEOPLE.zip archive into your deutschlandring/data folder.

If not then unfortunately I would say that might be an issue with your AC installation :(

Can everyone else see the spectators okay?

Spectators (as well as horses and cows) showing up just fine here. Thought they looked kinda weird at first, but that was user error, had not installed the vanilla textures (not using shaders patch atm.) Afaik one of the AC graphics settings determine if spectators are visible or not, but how it works might be different in mod tracks.

Escort Mk1 is a great car to drive this track btw.

A night lap with Trevor

GRC server is setup for practice at this outstanding circuit with a selection of 60's race cars. Just search GRC to find us. Come and appreciate DLR with company! :)

Thanks for the help, very much appreciate the quick reply earlier on today.

Bit of process of elimination, found that it was the shader patch that was the source of the crowd disappearing. Although I had the latest update, it looks like it had become corrupt at some point since I had it installed when it was released. In the midst of a clean install, should sort it all out!

If I have anymore issues I'll post in a more appropriate forum, now I know the shaders are the issue
