Content Manager (Questions & Answers)

After joining Patreon for X4fab, I got an email mentioning a link to the AC content manager on itch.io which prompts connecting to Patreon.
If I already have the content manager full version(0.8.2297.38573) from years ago which updates automatically.
Do I need to change to CM from Patreon for preview build or is it all the same?

Reading about this tool gave me great hopes but when i start compress files it tells me 526GB will be 522GB after compressing. How can that even be because i got my mods from evey source you can imagine?

So im new to assetto Corsa and simracing but i wanted to drive in "free world" enviorment with traffic so installed content manager and downloaded pacific coast highway and the shutoko revival project. everything went well.. i tested a game just after i installed sol and content manager and it worked fine.. but after i installed the tracks my computer restarts everytime i try to start a game.. no warnings, no fault codes.. no nothing.. just restarts..

Hope someone can help me a bit with this issue

Not sure if this is a bug or something I've done wrong. When I'm on the drive page it displays best lap and best lap on this track but when I look on the results page I have done a faster lap at that track. Thanks
My problem is that it only shows 1 lap after ive done like 20, so if i drive a ~2min lap it'll show 40mins and not like the best time

I want to turn these popup previews off, but I don't seem to find where I can do that.
Anyone have an idea?

What's your storage type? SATA SSD is the minimum thing if you have single 8 gigs RAM or if you have money you can buy NVMe M.2 (of course match it with your motherboard, is it Gen 3.0 or Gen 4.0)

If you want to stick woth HDD, you should get an additional RAM stick. REMEMBER! Dual channel (2*4) is much faster than single channel (1*8)

Close anything else, except the game, file explorer, anti-virus and essential programmes for the PC to run.

Update your GPU driver and tweak it.

Clean your PC from dust and reapply thermal paste for both Processor and GPU.

Also, the most heavy graphics setting is the post procest overall quality, MSAA is quite heavy for me... and shadow/reflection resolution is a moderate impact. If you go more than 2048*2048 for shadow. It'll make the performance degrade and don't get higher than 1024*1024 for reflection. Reflection rendering frequency don't go more than 6 (literally a suicide). Mirrors just set it to 128*512 (it's enough and don't turn on High Quality). For world details just set it to medium or if your PC can eun it more then set it to High

I hope this can be helpful :)

Hello! I'm playing with an i3-9100, GeForce GT730 and 8GB RAM. I get 30-35 FPS in game, depending on the circuit, and I have them capped. Most of the extensions in CSP will eat your RAM, I only have: General Settings, Colourful Shadowing, GUI, Lighting FX (only for dark weather races), Loading Screen, Taskbar and Windscreen FX. Those are the ones that consume less RAM, the rest of the graphical options (ALL OF THEM) will hit your FPS, the lighter ones are Brake Disc FX and Tyres FX, but you'll barely see them outside of screenshot mode.

Deactivate ALL the Post-Processing effects. They voraciously eat your RAM. And reduce the Rendering Distance in the Reflections section of the AC video options (not CSP), I usually have it between 350/450 m. There isn't a notable visual difference from what I've seen, but I got 3-5 extra FPS from reducing that.

When I take screenshots my game runs at 10 FPS, but that's because I want to. If I have to race I turn the graphics to the lowest configuration possible.

OH, and another thing: Take on account that taking screenshots is not the same as racing. You can save multiple configuration presets on CSP and change them before entering the game, I recommend you to have at least two low/medium graphic presets for racing and one high graphic preset for screenshots.

Well thank you but I just upgraded to a whole new PC :)

so im very confused.

in CM AC video settings if i keep Motion Blur at 0/Off, EXTRA FX Motion Blur at OFF :

- when im driving in game there is actually SLIGHT motion blur(haziness) and i get less fps

- but if i i keep Motion Blur at 1 or above then when im driving in game there is actually NO motion blur (everything nice/smooth) and i get more fps.

Can someone please explain what's happening....?!?

Thanks

Hi guys,
i have problem with forced driving position. probably in the content manager I chose the option "force the right position" and now I sit on the right in every car. Often on the seat of the passenger :p. Problem is i cant find this option right now to disable it in content manager.
Please someone tell me where to look for it!
Thanks :)
Kacper
