My Race Report

Quali P11

First lap of the race I had an incident where myself and Brooks scrapped paint in the Craner Curves but it was enough to spin me into the wall, a 1 minute pitstop saw me rejoin in last and a lap down to most of the grid.

I quickly moved back up through the field and managed my tyres, aimed for a 1:28 every lap and hit it almost all of them unless I was battling for postition. Ended up P10. Reasonably happy with that.

Something that will probably help most people is to not focus on battling those drivers not in your class, youll slow each other down and it makes no difference to your championship points.

Thanks for organising this Chris, thoroughly enjoyed it.
kept with the leading pack (well clung on if I’m honest) while they duelled a bit and let me hold on.. when they peeled off to pit I stayed out and seemed to lose rythm or something, pitted and came out p8 so there were others to pit. After the pits I was in p5, I could see Welshy and Moloney catching me. 5 mins on the clock I knew they were quicker and resolved to let them by but not make it too easy. Welshy got by but I seemed to find pace and stayed with him a lap or so. Moloney caught us both and Welshy ran out of fuel or something pitting with 2 laps. That just left me and Moloney in a two lapper to the finish. i felt faster in the first half of the lap so drove my line. I knew I was crzp at the chicane so pulled to defend the first hairpin. Moloney went for the cut back I saw him spin, I guess old tyres and too much right boot…. That left me one corner forP5. Over the bloody moon!

That was me at the end, I knocked off too much TC for the penultimate hairpin and spun, you had that place covered though, well done

thanks very much. Sorry for the name I only glance rapidly at the hud to check the gap…. To afraid to screw up to look properly….

First of all I would like to thank Chris for setting up the event...thanks...and then everyone who raced...

I am not here to compete...or to fight for a position in a championship...I am only here to enjoy and to learn causing as little carnage as possible...so I have no problem being last and I care even less about ACC ratings...

I nearly crashed into someone at the 2nd last hairpin (my wheel stopped responding)...

So I learn from these events....I practice more, get better at this craft and not too long from now I won't be last anymore...but for now I don't care...just enjoy...

I had to skip the race due to some technical issues. Does someone have the qualifying times from today‘s event, so that i can benchmark my (s****y) driving. That would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for coming along chaps, some great battles and nice to see so many new names on the grid. Great work from everyone I came across who had a blue flag waved - not the easiest of tracks to figure that out but spot on tonight.

Congrats to Ricardo on the win, fended off any attack I could come up with. Had some cracking racing as usual with Andrew.

With regard to Pro-Am classification I'm looking for an open an honest policy where you decide your classification based on tonight's race as well as Silverstone. As a general rule If you are sailing away at the front of the AM pack you're better off Pro as you will only get quicker as the races go on. Unless someone is very obviously in the wrong class we'll leave it to you guys
