People need to stop slating Formula E for "reasons" and actually bother to watch the races. If that race had been an F1 race, we'd be lauding it for years as one of the best ever. Cars running close, overtakes all through the field, controversial moments and some great tactical and defensive driving for a really close finish. Formula E is here to stay, and as it's producing some of the best single-seater races around, embrace it.
How about no engine noise? Or how about not being able to refuel quickly? How about not able to run the cars on race tracks bigger than a kart track?
If it had been an F1 race it would have been just as unwatchable on that tiny track.
When the cars make more sound than wind whistling through the trees, when drivers can finish the race in the same car they started the race in, when races can be held on the same tracks as F1 or the WEC, IMSA or Indy, for the same distances, when you can hear the roar of the engines, come back and we will talk.
Otherwise it is merely an exercise in what some people want us to accept as racing, but not what many of us want from racing.
