@Patrik Marek it's actually the tire rolling you're hearing. Please note you can always tweak the levels with the sliders in the audio menu. Some people like things louder some not, and everybody have his own vision of what is right and realistic for every car. Unfortunately we'll never be able to make everyone happy with defaults, so we'll have to start working with the sliders (they are there for this reason after all). Please, give a go on the sliders and if you still not happy, there's an optional download under version history here featuring the older onboards with few tweaks.

@Kitrinos Kat I have just tested your V1.02. The internal sounds I really like but I so miss the " slight brake squeal" and Gear whine that was present, please bring that back. The external sounds are a alot better "replay TV cams" and much improved. I have played with the "sliders" as suggested and got a good result, but really miss that brake squeal and gear whine.

@Kitrinos Kat The new onboard sounds. In your first version V1.0 there was a gear whine and brake squeal that was very distinctive. They have been lost in V1.01 and V1.02, although in V1.02 the actual car/engine sound is better. Hope that makes sence?

@Fordman Strange, they should still be there in v1.01 and 1.02 (Older onboards). They may be different in new onboard, because, as I said, they are an interpretation by Fonsecker. Note that there are two version of 1.02. I think what you are calling 1.01 are the 1.02 with my older onboards but the brake squeal should still be there anyway, I'll take a look asap.

I now understand
never really played with slider, I totally understand that each will have his prefference, but shouldn't you match what Kunos is doing? .. that way changing sliders for your car will make same adjustments to kunos cars, ?

I didn't really notice the resistance sound on Kunos cars, so making this smaller for your mod will make it even smaller for Kunos cars,

I'm sure you should be able to - once you talk to Fonsecker - to get the best of the both words and use his setup for the engine, and add your original transmisison + brake sounds, and tweak them a bit,

before in V01 I felt like it was all really good, but I wanted to see more of actual engine, - that's what the v02 did, however together with that it added the resistance sound - and that's imo too loud at the moment,

keep it going though, external sounds are great!

Hello great job :)
question... Do I replace the sound files in the SFX folder with your new sound files or do I just drop your files in the car folder and leave the original sound files in the SFX alone?

Thanks,

Tim

To install just choose the car you want to mod

DTM: Drop the two files inside DTM folder into assettocorsa\content\cars\bmw_m3_e30_dtm

GrA: Drop the two files inside GRA folder into assettocorsa\content\cars\bmw_m3_e30_gra
