Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
@LupinYonder first of all welcome to RD's club events :)

About the actual race, try to solve the issues you may have with other drivers via personal messages. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the conversation you can always file a report. We try to keep our races as fun and clean as possible!

I will leave these 2 links here:

Sorry @Akis for going off topic, but I agree. I don't run with it in my events but will watch the replay closely after the race and report drivers if I see fit. I have seen enough races ruined by the penalty system especially if you go wide to avoid other racers.

Not a discussion point for this thread. just my 2 cents. :)

EDIT: I fully stand by Akis using it because I do think it works on a number of tracks well! im not sure I have the patience to test each one tho :)

Agreed, I hope the league has cutting penalties turned off, as in this instance you cannot run wide or go over a curb once without receiving a slow-down.. which in itself ruins close racing.

I think you are the one who should pray not to have any lag, don't think you will be allowed to race -in the cup- when you teleport in this many races, please try and find a solution :D

I know, which is very frustrating. The lag had gone for a month or so, and now it is back.. I will need to do a clean install and see if I can fix it!

Hi guys, thanks for my first race on Race Department! I had a good practice and quali, dropped my lap times down by 4 sec. Lap 1 of the Race did not go so well. After making a couple of positions by going wide into turn one, I got dive bombed by ************ which put me in last. I then made contact with him again as his brakes locked up a few corners later and he skidded across the racing line. On lap 2, I'm not sure if he was driving defensively or just unpredictably but I had to seriously back off a few corners to avoid more contact. I watched in horror as he pulled another dive on lap 2 against ****** Just, missing the corner and then holding us up as he tried to regain control. Later in lap 2 I got nudged again as the guy behind tried to take the inside into the chicain, suicidal. On lap 3 ****** tried another crazy trick a couple of cars in front of me, driving up the inside of the chicain and nearly causing another big accident. On lap 4 I thought I might finally pass him, I was getting very close but tried to give him room in the corners but he took one odd line and braked mid corner and I had nowhere to go but t-bone him.

Sorry to Alex Parker who I hit entering the chicain, I was at max braking and went into the back of him but not much harm was done.

A big game freeze caused me to lose a position on lap 9 but atleast I didn't crash. I was chasing it back but cut too much of a corner and had to take a penalty slowdown on lap 10. Harsh harsh system. Not even a warning for first offence.

The rest of my race was spent chasing down Alex Parker which was really enjoyable, we were closely matched but had different lines so good fun. Shame he lost connection or something on the last lap.

On a final note, and I'm sorry to whine as its my first race I haven't really earnt the right to complain but for me at least the TS talking was excessive and very distracting. I don't mind the odd joke or a few lines of banter but full on tech support and other long chats are hard to drive with for me atleast. I know its a casual race for you guys at the front but it still takes a lot of my concentration at the back.

Sorry again for the ranting nature of this post. Have a look at the replay and tell me if I'm being to sensitive or what ever.

I'd say that you just have to adjust a bit to the Racing Club. There'll always be drivers with different skill sets, but there are rules that mandate how drivers should treat each other. Some guys are faster than others. You kinda described it on TS, you were getting faster as you were learning. Some other guys were probably already lapping at their quickest pace.
Anyway, if you do feel you were treated unfairly and want to file a report, you can always do that tomorrow after everything has cooled off. See @Akis post for that.

Concerning the TS chat: you can of course always mute everyone, we just want everyone on TS because Assetto Corsa's ingame chat is a bit lackluster and important information is more easily spread. Also, it adds to the fun, at least for me

Hope to see you back on track!

for me, this was one of the best races I've had with the closest battles between at times 5 cars! It was really everything what simracing should be about...everything but with one exception :p
Sorry once more Simon for missing my braking point and taking both of us out of the fight :cautious:

Hey Galin like I said on TS no worries! these things happen! im sure the other Staff will give you there thoughts on the report Tomorrow, and a month isn't too long ;)

hehe only kidding friend, great Race! :)

I am also guilty of this! I love a good chat on TS. but I also know that it can be distracting when you are on it! sorry for my chit chat. Club races have a friendly approach, and chatting shouldn't be discouraged! obviously if the chat turns to "did you see the footy last night" then that's unacceptable in any circumstance! if its on topic in a club race its ok. :)

I assure you that chit chat like that would not happen in a league/cup event!

Hope you find out more about this.

Well,I never thought that kind of pace from me:confused: but although it was a pleasant surprise I rather race side By side in a pack of good drivers which can be found from RD quite a lot:thumbsup:

Like for example in Paul Ricard few days ago with Simon and Geoffroy;).

Remember though from this race! its a lot quicker by yourself! because when you are battling you take defensive lines! that race the other day was epic! so was tonights for different reasons! You were on it tonight!!!

EDIT: you know the highlights of that race are over 1000 views!!

@Tomi Manninen, that's my boy! If I may sound familiar on this one.
Perfect race! Now, seeing that, could you stop yelling everywhere that I'm faster, please. I can't stand the pressure obviously. :roflmao:

Interesting race for me. Lost up to six spot in the first part of the race. My bad all along. @Tobias Röhner, sorry for that hit. I didn't break right, on this one, to get the apex and leave you enough room. Glad to be right in your bumper at the end seeing my race.
After that, It was all about remain calm and focus. Taking advantage of the battling cars in front of me. I wouldn't complain about the chit-chat on TS, I've hit the podium thx to it. @Akis :whistling::D

Thx for th race!
See you next.
