Nice one.

Just for everybodies info. I think these tyres may have gone a bit too far the other way. I'm struggling to get the fronts up to temp. I've increased the track temp from 25 to 30 but this is subject to change if people don't get along with it.

The tyre wear is also on the low side IMO. I will most likely run with tyre wear set to x 2 for this event.

If you keep it at x1, it'll most likely mean better racing since we can push from start to finish then :)
Wear was only dropping to 98% on the fronts after around 20 minutes for me yesterday.
I'll check again but tyre wear management is (and should be) a part of racing IMO.

With earlier versions of the car, the rear tyres fell off a cliff at around 20 minutes in if you went flat out. I quite enjoyed that because I was happy to go easy on the rears and save a little for a charge in the last few laps. Almost everybody else complained though, so I relented and ran with tyre wear off for one event. However, there were one or two who did'nt like that either. We haven't raced this car since.

So anyway, we'll try with the new tyres, but like I say we may need to tweak things a bit. I guess we'll just have to "suck it and see". :roflmao:

You'll never please everybody, but I think a little compromise should result in a decent race for all who buy into it. :)

Thursday's just wouldn't be the same without rF2....in.
Look forward to catching up with everybody on Thursday.

holy smokes, I thought those porsche 917s were a handful... these old beemers have 0 grip and sway all over the place. this is going to be an exercise in restraint, and an interesting race!
