UTP #01
Evening, sign me up please! Cheers, Mat

I can only get 253kph on the long straight with the Nissan, can you help me to get more thanks. This is only default safe set up though but just need to tweak something to get more. Thanks

I would like to apologize to the driver of the JAG, Car number 56 Tariq Gamil. I bumped you in turn one and you spun. From my view it looked like I barely even touched you, if it all. So I watched the replay, and in the replay it looks like I hit you pretty hard. So again my deepest apologies, im very sorry. Im pretty sure you finished better than I did. Not enough TC with the combo of Tire wear

Thanks for your apology but you didn't wait and as a result, breached the Golden Rule. Note that if it happens again, I will report any future incidents laid out in the Club Regulations thread:
  1. Golden Rule
If you hit another driver during a Club race and disadvantage them, you are required to slow (or stop your car if necessary) to let the other driver regain the position on you. This shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, and do not immediately stop your car on the racing line where it can cause further accidents.

If it's reported and confirmed that you do not allow the driver you disadvantaged to regain their position by the end of that lap then you will receive an immediate 30 day ban from racing on RaceDepartment servers.

@Celtic Pharaoh thanks for a fantastic race. You had me for most of it, I was just happy that I could still see you after 5 laps following you, so to still be able to catch up when your tyres went off, well, like I said, made it a great race.

Sorry about the last lap shunt, I'd been braking hard into that right hander then letting it drift around a bit - probably not the normal approach so sorry if it caught you out.

Thanks for waiting though!

No no, it was definitely my fault. You definitely had pace there so it was well deserved! Your approach to that double right hander is correct. Brake hard near the inside of the first part, coast out and bring it back in for the second part. Good racing and look forward to more battles in future! :)

another blinding evening, great stuff!

@MrShumacher @Celtic Pharaoh I saw that first lap incident so thought I'd put the video up. There was another bit of contact immediately before your contact which might have been a factor.

Later in that first lap I was following @Ture who was very unfortunate to fall foul of over-zealous cutting rules and found himself with a drive through penalty after narrowly running wide 3 corners in a row. I'd have been tempted to park it myself after that.

I think that needs looking at in the game - at least give server admins the option of setting how many infractions lead to a penalty - longer races should surely have more margin for error.

As for me, I was pleased to get through the perilous first lap on cold tyres but then went and binned it on the second lap, once everything was warmed up. Still, I think it ended up being a much more interesting race than if I hadn't had the spin.
