BEST mode ever ,IMO it stil in my top notch game atm nothing beat it atm,

omg desert combat ... 1.5 year of playing that + clan +ladder ,competition,capture the flag ,swap plane move hell yeah !my team invent that move as i remembe.

I tried to install my BF2 again a month or so back and was horrified to find my disc wouldnt work ,after about 30secs of drive light flashing it shows as if its a blank disc....like...nada on it!,i was also a big DC freak,might have to go for a steam install of it again.

Gary can't you install it from steam? as you still have the disc with the serial stuff on it

When i first discovered my disc problem i contacted EA support about using my code and getting it through EA Downloader gubbins,the first bloke on the forums said that should work,but it was teh lies and didnt work ,going to give steam a try and see if it will have it .

Edit: steam told me to go take a flyi...........

Gary download an iso of the game and install from that using daemon tools, as long as you have a legit key this will work as I've scratched my disc and this is how I reinstall. Also with 1.5 you don't need the cd in the drive so it should work fine.

Just the original game mate, you need patch 1.5.

Does 1.5 do the whole show right from fresh install?,or will i need to patch up so far that annoying EA huge patch incremental way?....

Sorry Gazza, you need to download 1.41 (full patch) then patch 1.5.

No idea why they didn't just do a complete 1.5?

is it worth buying the complete collection off Steam today for £7.49? loved this game when it was out but dont know whether its worth getting again.
