Successor of Stock Car Extreme, new racing simulator by Reiza Studios will be free to all current owners of SCE

AUTOMOBILISTA puts you in the driving seat of an advanced racing simulator to deliver a uniquely diverse motorsports experience!

As the natural successor to Reiza Studios´ previous title - the highly regarded Stock Car Extreme, originally released in 2013 - AUTOMOBILISTA continues to simulate premium Brazilian racing series such as Stock Car V8, Copa Petrobras de Marcas, Formula 3 Brasil and Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, now packing every car and every track from their respective 2015 championships.

Beyond the brazilian core, AUTOMOBILISTA is extensively complemented with one of the most diverse selections or racing vehicles to be found in a racing game: only in AUTOMOBILISTA will you be able to jump from a rental kart to a 800-HP F1 car; from drifting a Rallycross Evo X to jumping ramps in a Supertruck; from mastering the driving basics in a Formula Vee to managing a full 24h race in an endurance prototype; back and forth through time with historical and modern content including a sample from several decades of Grand Prix racing - all of this and much more within a few mouse clicks. Thoroughly researched and cohesively developed for maximum simulation accuracy, AUTOMOBILISTA captures the fun only motorsports in its various forms can provide.

In addition to the content already present in Stock Car Extreme - all of which comprehensively upgraded - AUTOMOBILISTA turns it up to a new level by adding all the new cars & tracks proposed in the SimRacing Bonanza crowdfunding campaign, new simulation features such as dynamic track conditions, advanced transmission and tire modelling, substantial upgrades to physics, graphics & audio, new game modes and much more!

SPECIAL OFFER - AUTOMOBILISTA free to everyone who owns Stock Car Extreme on Steam by January 5th!

AUTOMOBILISTA is an evolution of the project presented by Reiza´s successful crowdfunding campaign in July 2015. Originally proposed as an extensive free update to Stock Car Extreme, AMS has grown further to become a completely independent release from SCE - it will however remain free to everyone who bought Stock Car Extreme up until January 5th 2016.

Therefore if you already own SCE on Steam, AUTOMOBILISTA will become immediately available to you upon release!

SCE owners who have not yet activated their copy of Stock Car Extreme on Steam should do so before January 5th 2016 by retrieving their Stock Car Extreme Steam key here, and activating it on Steam. It is not necessary to install SCE on Steam - just have it activated there to ensure your free copy of AMS. This will have no effect on your SCE installation outside Steam, where serial numbers will remain functional (owners who had previously made the switch also have had their NonSteam Serial Numbers reactivated).

Upon launch, AUTOMOBILISTA will sell for US$ 39.99 so for those who don´t yet own Stock Car Extreme, this is a special opportunity to get both SCE now and simultaneously ensure a free copy of AUTOMOBILISTA - all for the current price of Stock Car Extreme (currently selling for the special Steam holiday price of US$ 22.49 / R$ 89.99). This special offer is available only until 5th January 2016, as from January 6th 2016 onwards buying Stock Car Extreme will no longer warrant a free copy of AUTOMOBILISTA.

AUTOMOBILISTA - Motorsports Simulator will be released exclusively on the Steam platform during Q1 2016.

sorry, maybe i just didn't read it :)
dx9 vs dx11 if poorly implemented could give same results, yes.
no problem :)
well but good implementation of dx9 could give nice result too (crysis 1,2 or pC on dx9) .. not saying as good as dx11 but for sim purposes good enough ... at least good enough to not use it as excuse for not enjoying it (at least for me) .. if it is done well ...
heck I could easily get immersed even in GTR Evo and R3E could be far more immersive than pC or AC (that doesn`t even look that awsome) ...

I race offline. I would like to know about pitstop strategies. Will it be the same as in GSCE that we could put it our own or there is something planned for this? This is one of the things I love about the game. Everytime I race I make sure everyone pits in at least once and it really changes the outcome.

isiMotor2 debuted in 2005 with rfactor, I know Neils is one of the best physics guru and tire modeler out there, but it would be "just" a rebranded game with no gsc cars, hence, no gsc on the title, otherwise it would have been called gscextreme 3 1/3 vs the aliens of mars or sth like that.

graphically rf2 is too demanding and to cartoony it really sucks, still can't be played with a gtx970 and core i5 other that in Full settings

DX9 or DX11 or DX12 don't equate to stunning graphics. It can allow for that with better handling of resources and decreasing the load but it needs to be coded, the visuals come from the artists.

The main thing to me is: CART 1998 must be supported in Automobilista. Simple :p.

If future Reiza games, you get the multiplayer like iRacing, for me would be the perfect sim. Why nobody copy to iRacing multiplayer? It is expensive?
Personal opinion, for my Reiza is doing very well and is my favorite sim.

What do you mean by "no gsc cars"? All of the cars currently included in GSC will be in the new game, plus some more. They're removing GSC from the title because it was a terrible name and did them no favors in the sales department.

And yes, it's a rebranded and improved game. Just like an iPhone 6s is a rebranded and improved version of the iPhone 6. The fact is that they could not have implemented some of these improvements if they stuck with the current GSC structure so they basically went back to square one which opened up a lot more possibilities. And they figured if they were going to go that route they might as well get rid of the terrible name while they're at it, and since all current SCE owners get a free copy everyone wins. They're not claiming it's a brand new from scratch title and trying to grab money from people, they're giving us an improved product with many things we've asked for in the past and hopefully an expanded player base..............for free, and in a format that holds much more potential for the future. It also will allow them to learn things that will make the 2017 game that much better.

I can't fathom why some people are complaining about this, it's going to have everything you love about GSC but many parts of it will have some sort of improvement and things that weren't possible before will be possible now. There is literally no downside to this, other than some people thinking that because it doesn't look as shiny and neat as AC it's somehow inferior, but they would have had that opinion anyway. Personally I'll take a sim with slightly "inferior" graphics but full of features over a graphically "superior" sim that is lacking important features any day.

When people talks about graphics I wonder if the only thing they care about are post processing filters, motion blur etc. I find GSCE really well done from an artistic point of view, for example the tracks have plenty of detail and they feel very alive. Another funny thing is that many of those "modern graphics enthusiasts" don't mind however to play DX11 AC with old ported tracks/cars that very often look even worse than in their old platforms.

ISI physics engine plus Niels taking care of the physics and Alex Sawczuk doing the tracks, I'll be always in :) they all guarantee good quality in their areas.

It is obviously very expensive (for iRacing and for its users). But anyway iRacing has a different target (pure online competition) compared to GSCE, rF2, AC etc.

Yep, this "new generation" of sim racers gets on my nerves some times.

@ Reiza workshop please? :p

one can certainly get a long way with dx9 in terms of visuals (r3e imo looks pretty decent) the majority of "money" spent is really track details, textures...
There is also some benefits of the old-school dx9 type lighting, as more basic forward shading is typically less affected by aliasing. Modern titles like pcars can suffer from a lot of "shader aliasing" because of complex lighting, so you need to throw even more GPU horsepower at it to get really nice smooth images. Obviously it's possible and great to have, but it costs a lot of money.

To me high frame-rate (tripples friendly) and low-aliasing and "consistent" detail is more important then the last bit of eye candy. I would expect that from a big developer and console title, but not something like from a smaller developer like Reiza. Imo GSCE's strength lies exactly in giving a consistent package. As long as all levels get improved along, that works well :)
Consistent detail gets a long way in games imo, there is plenty not too demanding titles out there (valve, blizzard, nintendo...)

Let's be realistic this is really a question where the little money small developers work with, is being spent on. You cannot throw majority of money on rendering system without also pulling the content up, which costs a lot money then as well...

It's a strange world we live in,when free draws complaints.I think the new game announcement is crystal clear.
