Reiza Studios have today deployed a new update for Automobilista.

Currently the latest subject of our 'Rate The Sims' feature here on RaceDepartment (comment and vote HERE), a new build of golden oldie racing simulation Automobilista released on Steam earlier today - featuring a few nice fixes and improvements that Reiza Studios have deemed necessary following the most recent build update for the game.

Update details below:
  • Added a hardcoded SteeringFFBMult value so a car will still have Force Feedback even if value is missing or zeroed in its physics file
  • Fixed fanatec DD base features initialization in compatibility mode
  • Fixed centering spring on game startup for Logitech wheels & small adjustments to rotation range method
  • Fixed Fanatec wheel rumble being turned off in wrong way
  • Donington: Switched off collision for pit building roof so Trucks won´t be stuck
  • Snetterton: Fixed crash in AMS Dedi loading Snetterton 300; Fixed filters so track will be available for FTruck series; Small graphical and object updates

Automobilista is available now exclusively for PC.

Hi all. I cannot get the game out of windowed mode. Can someone please help. I used the Configuration Tool and that did not work.

Thank you in advance.

Hadn't played around with the sim for a couple of months, but fired it up today. It asked for a profile name after starting, gave one and proceeded to do some laps.

For some reason there is now a hefty throttle deadzone from 0 to around 20%. Tried remapping throttle, didn't help. Made a new profile, no go. Even removed all the standard profiles, but still the same issue.

Also, all my previous setups and settings seem to have vanished along with the old profile? Anyone else having the same problem?

E: I guess it's best to just reinstall AMS and backup all personal files from now on.

  • No, a generic wheel is fine

  • No, I would be ok with a replica
