If you download Oculus Tray Tool, there's a setting in there called Asynchronous Spacewarp, you can lock ASW to 45fps there which is the most reliable method of doing it.
You can also set SS in there as well (called Pixel Density in the tray tool) , just open the tool, make your settings and then close the tool again.
