Kunos Licensing Manager Marco Massarutto has revealed a new image of the current work in progress 2017 Porsche 911 RSR due to make its debut towards the end of the current month.

When it was announced that the new for 2017 911 RSR would not make it in time to be included in the third Porsche DLC installment for Assetto Corsa, many fans were left disappointed by the omission of arguably the most anticipated car of the three DLC packages. To their credit Kunos acknowledged this disappointment at the time of the announcement and promised Volume Three DLC owners that the car would arrive as a free addition to the pack in January 2017, whilst still replacing the machine from the initial launch with a very nice version of the 911 Turbo S to ensure the full quota of Porsche cars will be met across the three DLC's.

Now we have reached January, Kunos Licensing Manager Marco Massarutto has seen fit to release a 3D render image of the still WIP 911 RSR, showing off the usual Kunos attention to detail in sculpting the fine lines of this new addition to the Assetto Corsa car family.

The 911 RSR itself will make its track debut at the end of this month during the 2017 running of the Rolex Daytona 24 hour event, due to be held on the 28th and 29th January at the famous American venue.

Kunos Simulazioni have released Assetto Corsa for Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game features a number of road and race vehicles with many laserscanned circuits. Additional track and car content can be purchased by way of downloadable content.

There was one example where an arrow popped up telling the driver to stay left due to an incoming car. Really cool, but seems like a camera would be just fine.

The camera glare at night makes it hard to judge distances to cars. Picture this with LMP1 closing speed - a flashing arrow as the car approaches at high speed is particularly useful.

I believe this was actually developed by Corvette. They sell the system to other teams.

Bad news for guys who run Assetto Crosa with virtual wheel off because they have their own (like myself) This car doesnt have any gauges on the panel but have screen on the wheel. You cant see RPM`s, gear or speed. Thats mean people will use Apps like SideKick and its kinda doing cockpit less realistic... Cup car and GT3 version have gauges on the panel :D

I use apps on an Android tablet and an old iPhone 6 to show me that stuff, so no worries! :D
