From FB:

First of all all, we would like to apologise for the lack of updates and news related to the release of Assetto Corsa. We have been working very hard on the Assetto Corsa project and before we make any more announcements we have had to wait until everything is in place. Now, at last, we can share some important information with you, our fans.

Almost a year ago, on December the 23rd, 2011, we announced that we are developing a new PC racing simulation, “Assetto Corsa”. Our aim was to be able to release the game one year later, during 2012’s holiday season.

We will not reach this goal. Assetto Corsa has been delayed and the release is now expected within 1st quarter 2013, as some of you may already know. The “Assetto Corsa technology preview”, a graphics benchmark, expected to be released in 2012, has been delayed too.

We know a lot of people are keenly waiting for the release of Assetto Corsa, and we wish to thank them for the support they have given us since we announced our most ambitious project.

If you are an experienced gamer you will already be aware that these kind of delays can happen, and will know as well that reasons for such delays can be boring. But, trust us, this is not the case, because the reasons behind our decision to delay Assetto Corsa for a few weeks are the best possible.

We just ask you to remember that what you have seen, what we are able to show you, is just the tip of the iceberg. It is not possible for us to help you understand the amount of work we have put in, as well as the many situations that can determine some of our choices.

Anyway, on December, 21st 2012, at 21.00, European time, please connect to www.assettocorsa.net, orwww.facebook.com/assetto.corsa , orhttps://twitter.com/AC_assettocorsa or Assetto Corsa Google plus and prepare yourself for the most unexpected ending we are able to give you…

That´s an odd one :O_o: The delays we knew about before except the tech-preview but that´s normal and no big deal. However this below is interesting :)

I see they are playing on the doomsday thing but just curious if maybe it will be a live-broadcast walkthrough of the game or something similar.

So do they mean that the techdemo won't come out in 2012 or delayed as in, delayed since September? English is not my first language so it might be that it is just me but it sounds like it could mean both things... Although I think they mean it will be delayed to 2013 too, I guess ;).

Anyway I am really curious what happens at 21 o'clock tomorrow, maybe they can finally reveal the "very big things" stuff, fingers crossed... ;)

I think they mean that the tech demo will be delayed to 2013 too. What in the hell are they preparing for tomorow ??? :D
Laser-scanned Nordschleife ? License with Ferrari, Audi ? Innovative multiplayer system ? I can't wait and I am thrilled !!!

«Die Grüne Hölle» (the Green Hell) is the nickname of the Nüburgring Nordschleife... But Green is also the color of Lotus Cars, maybe a real Lotus Formula One car ?

Nüburgring Nordschleife is most likely to be the big revealed tomorrow. We've already seen a sneak picture of the track in A.C's GUI. A laser scanned Nüburgring Nordschleife would arguably the biggest item of content ever done by a sim racing title. Very fitting.

I think the Nordscheife is most likely, but maybe we will get some new videos/trailer too? I can't wait!

Are they giving us a clue with this image? Carbon fiber covered in green (paint)?
Well let's go crazy about it:

- green -> "green hell" Nordschleife
- carbon fiber -> Zonda R (the car is full CF afterall)
- 21 o'clock -> Nordschleife is 20,832Km long, so almost 21Km
- oh and hell kinda fits with the end of world thing ;)
("very big things" tease -> big, like 21km, things ;)?)

Those things could be a complete coincidence but it would be epic if true.
My guess full onboard lap (actual ingame footage and no shaky cam footage) of the Zonda R on a laserscanned Nordschleife...

A bit like this just better with next-gen graphics and stuff :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

It could be complete BS but hey we have long 24hours here ;)

We've already seen a sneak picture of the track in A.C's GUI.
Uhh yeah almost forgot about it although it could be a simple placeholder afterall...

tech-demo or big license or nordschleife L.S. ;)i think....
I don't think it is the techdemo, from FB:
Assetto Corsa: We don't have the technology preview ready
yet... but we will announce the end of the world!

But what could be a big license? Ferrari would be huge, street cars, F1, GT they have everything but beside that, what could be a big license?
